KIWANIS PLANS FUNDRAISER FOR EHS SCHOLARSHIP

The Ephrata Kiwanis Club will hold a fundraising event on Saturday, Dec. 6, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Ephrata United Methodist Church, 117 C St. N.W.

Proceeds will go toward the club's Ephrata High School scholarship program.

The fundraiser will include sales of gently used holiday decorations and household items, and baked potato bar and gourmet hotdogs with all the fixings for $10.

GINGERBREAD COOKIES AT ML MAC

MOSES LAKE – The City of Moses Lake Museum & Art Center's "Free Family Saturday" will feature some sweet fun – decorating gingerbread cookies – this Saturday, Dec. 6, from noon to 2 p.m.

Participants can creative with frosting and sprinkles while supplies last. They should also be on the lookout for a special guest appearance – Rusty Mammoth Santa.

This event is open to the public, but registration is required. Families may sign up for a free, year-long pass at the museum’s registration portal. 

The museum is located at 401 S. Balsam St. in the Moses Lake Civic Center.

‘BELLS ON BASIN’ PARTICIPATION

Ephrata’s 2025 “Bells on Basin” holiday festival is planned for Saturday, Dec. 13 with activities throughout the downtown area.

The Ephrata Chamber of Commerce is inviting local businesses and organizations to be involved and provide sponsorship to help cover event costs.

Activities include the “Kids Polar Express Passport Trail,” ornament decorating, Christmas bingo, writing letters to Santa, and more.

“We’re looking for businesses and sponsors to help make this magical community event come to life,” the chamber announced.

CBF "FESTIVAL OF TREES" FUNDRAISER IN DECEMBER

EPHRATA – The Columbia Basin Foundation will host its third annual "Festival of Trees" community fundraiser in December.

From Dec. 1–11, visitors are invited to stop by the foundation’s office, 101 Basin St. N.W., to view 11 exquisitely decorated Christmas trees and purchase raffle tickets for a chance to take one home. One tree will also be hosted in the lobby of First Interstate Bank, 66 Basin St. S.W.

Raffle tickets will cost $5 each or six for $25. They can be purchased during regular office hours on the following dates and times:

-         Monday through Thursday, Dec. 1-4, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

-         Monday through Wednesday, Dec. 8-10, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

-         Special open house – Thursday, Dec. 11, 9 a.m. to 7 p.m.

Raffle winners will be notified on Friday, Dec. 12.

All proceeds will be shared among four local organizations which support families affected by cancer. For more information, call 509-754-4596 or visit online at www.cbfcommunity.org.
