Ephrata choirs showcase vocal talents during Spring Concert
EPHRATA — Five choirs from Ephrata Middle School and Ephrata High School took the stage Monday night at the EHS PAC gym for their 2026 Spring Concert.
Director Tim O'Donnell led the evening, with piano accompaniment from Gus O'Donnell and Cecelia Couture and sound by Aaron Loeffelbein.
The middle school choir opened with three numbers, including "Festival Cantate" by Victor C. Johnson and "Only Hope" by Jonathan Foreman. Nora Sackman and Anderson Bair performed solos.









The EHS Treble Clef Choir featured soloists Zarianna Garcia, Devanae Bazan and Ella Somes. The Bass Clef Choir's set featured cello accompanist Kathryn Arriola on "Black is the Color of My True Love's Hair," with solos from David Malone and Harlen Steele.
The high school Concert Choir performed Haydn's "Laetatus Sum," Eric William Barnum's "Return" and Matyas Seiber's "Three Hungarian Folk-songs."
Harmonia followed with Herman Schein's "Die Mit Tranen Saen" and Kinley Lange's "Esto Les Digo," featuring a solo from Allison Moore. Harmonia capped its set with Stephen Hatfield's "Run Children Run," with solos from Cecilia Roth, Connor Liffengren and Katherine Hann.

The evening concluded with a performance by the Chamber Choir. Their renditions included "Idumea" by Richard Bjella, featuring a solo from Rogan Homer, and continued with Anton Bruckner's "Christus Factus Est" and A.R. Rahman's "Balleilakka," arranged by Ethan Sperry. Tucker Simmons and Cecelia Roth sang solos, with percussion from Gus O'Donnell, Evangeline Springs, Abel Hernandez Alencaster and Alexis St. Mary.
