Indie Leigh Kirk of Ephrata, WA
Indie Leigh Kirk, 1
Indie is also known as Innie, Inners, or Inderson to her loved ones. She passed away Tuesday afternoon with her parents at her side. She recently celebrated her First birthday and brought joy to every room she entered with her giant smile. She will be deeply and forever missed by her family, friends, and the communities that got to enjoy her sweet spirit in her short life.
Indie spent every day of her life in the arms of her mother and father, Autumn Leigh Kirk and Nathaniel Lee Kirk, or playing wildly with her big sisters, Clara and Nola Kirk. In addition, Indie is survived by her grandparents Denell Gill, Keith Gill, Lisa Reeves Gill, Angel Kirk, and Travis Kirk, many aunts and uncles, Callie and David Tiffany, Brandi and Brent Allred, Chase Gill, Lateesha Kirk, Ashlynn Kirk, Caleb Williamson, Carissa and Tyler Lesko, Krista Vasquez, and Jared Kirk, as well as many cousins and close friends who are family.
Indie will always be remembered for her love of the color red, balloons, Elmo, and live music that she could dance to. She would play sneaky tricks with a big smile and pretend she was a scary dinosaur with the tiniest little roar. She had the most infectious laugh and brightest smile. Her favorite place to be was anywhere snuggled close to her mama.
Her parents would like to thank first responders as well as staff at Columbia Basin Hospital for putting in tremendous effort on Indie's behalf. They'd also like to thank the community of Ephrata and beyond who have responded with love, courtesy, and compassion in the midst of this tragedy.
A celebration of life will be held at 4pm on Wednesday, October 21, 2026 at Lions Park in Ephrata. Please bring a lawn chair or blanket to enjoy some pizza with your family and hear a few words in remembrance of the sweetest little girl who has left a giant impact on those who knew her. The family has requested balloons in place of flowers to honor their sweet baby.
