Jim was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, veteran, and friend. He lived a life marked by faith, service, and love for his family. After serving his country in the United States Army during the Korean War, he built a long career with Grant County Public Works and later dedicated much of his time to preserving the history of Grant County through research, historical projects, and community involvement.

Jim had a deep love for history, reading, hiking, and searching for historic artifacts. He found great joy in learning, sharing stories, and creating lasting memories with those he loved most.

He will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by his wife, Ruth, his children, Margaret Lynch, Patricia Lynch, Ralph Lynch (Victoria), John Lynch (Crystal), Kathleen Holden and her husband, Donnie, and Shannon Falstad and her husband, Mark; his grandchildren, Andrea, Rebecca, Teresa, Katelyn, Kylie, Alexandria, Jessica, Eric, Brent, Jeremy, Seth, Gunnar, and Leif, as well as 8 great grandchildren and cherished nieces and nephews.

Jim was a man of deep faith, quiet strength, and unwavering devotion to his family. He dedicated many years to his work as a civil engineer for Grant County, and gave generously of his time and talents to preserving local history. His kindness, wisdom, and steady presence will be missed more than words can say.

Please keep his wife Ruth and the entire Lynch family in your thoughts and prayers during this time.
