Lady Tigers show fight in second quarter at Okanogan
The Ephrata girls basketball team dropped two games last week, suffering a 76-24 home loss to Grandview on Friday and going down 47-30 at Okanogan on Tuesday.
It was a tough matchup for the Tigers against Grandview, which stands third in the Central Washington Athletic Conference and sixth in the WIAA RPI standings.
Maycee Black tallied 11 points to lead the Tigers in scoring. Rebecca Wiser added five points, and she and Evangeline Springs each pulled down a team-high six boards off the glass.
At Okanogan, Ephrata fell behind 13-4 in the first quarter but rallied, outscoring the Bulldogs 13-8 in the second period and cutting the deficit to 21-17 by halftime. But the Tigers couldn't sustain the momentum, and the Lady Bulldogs pulled away after the break, outscoring Ephrata 26-13 in the second half.
