ML MAC to host annual 'Members Exhibition'
MOSES LAKE – The City of Moses Lake Museum & Art Center will host a free public reception on Friday, Nov. 14, to celebrate the opening of its annual Members Exhibition.
The reception is scheduled from 4-7 p.m. at the MAC, 401 S. Balsam St. in the Moses Lake Civic Center. Patrons will have an opportunity to meet the exhibit artists and enjoy live music by a local musician and light refreshments including no-host beer and wine provided by Columbia Basin Allied Arts.
There will also be a free Art After Hours program from 4-6:30 p.m. for adults, who can use macrame cord to create their own handmade “feather.”
The Members Exhibition will showcase the works of 58 artists, including four youth artists.
“We will have a large collection of art ranging from paints, ceramics, wreaths to photography. Such a wonderful exhibit to share our Museum Members’ artistic side,” museum gallery coordinator Veronica Talbot said in a press release.
Visitors can also check out the museum store for holiday gift shopping. There is an array of handmade goods by local artisans and a specialty thrift shop section with second-hand and vintage items.
The museum is open weekdays from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., and Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Admission is free.
