EPHRATA — Downtown Ephrata came alive Friday night with hundreds of trick-or-treaters crowded along Basin Street to visit merchants, businesses, and organizations handing out Halloween treats.

The Ephrata Chamber of Commerce and its participating members and volunteers made it a special evening for kids of all ages decked out in great costumes.

Here are a few looks that got caught on camera as they bustled by.

Nobody denies T. rex: Karla Bernal (left) has her hands full doling out candy to the fanged dinosaur's young operator outside the Alchile Mexican Grill, one of the businesses along downtown Basin Street participating in Friday's festivities.
Some faces stood out in the crowd.
Kids young and old hurried to join the fun.
Even the Colonel and his chicks were on the scene.
A long queue formed to enter Rock Park/Sun Basin Plaza where numerous businesses and organizations were greeting trick-or-treaters.
Get back in line: no fair taking cuts.
Decisions, decisions: two youngsters pondered their choices offered by EHS National Honor Society students Vanessa Mejia (left), Regan Shannon, and Aundrea Jaslene Contreras.
The Grocery Outlet gang went goth for the evening.
Who knew bagels made the list of top Halloween treats?
11-month-old Kendyl Judkins made her first official Halloween outing with mom Elizabeth.
Candy, stickers, and more were offered by the Grant County PUD crew.
Only good witches like Mary Holleman serve both candy AND pencils to kids. Mary was among the trunk-or-treaters parked at the Ephrata Methodist Church, where free hot dogs and warm beverages were also available on a chilly fall evening.
