Carol Ann Gierke of Moses Lake, WA

Carol was born on September 29, 1948, in Orange County, California. Throughout her life, she devoted herself to caring for others. She worked as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), a paraeducator, and later as a teacher for students with disabilities. Her compassion, patience, and unwavering belief in every child's potential left a lasting impact on the many students and families whose lives she touched.

Above all else, Carol was a loving wife, devoted mother, proud grandmother, and cherished great-grandmother. She was the heart of her family, known for her kindness, generosity, and a heart of gold. Her children will always remember her as the most loving mother anyone could ask for.

Carol found joy in life's simple blessings. She loved crafting, baking, and creating beauty wherever she went. Her yard was filled with colorful flowers that she lovingly planted and cared for, reflecting the warmth and beauty she brought into the lives of those around her. She also had a special place in her heart for animals, especially the many cats she rescued over the years.

One of Carol's greatest joys was spending time with her beloved husband, Leroy. Together they shared countless adventures fishing, camping, sightseeing, and making treasured memories. Their love and companionship were an inspiration to everyone who knew them.

Nothing brought Carol more happiness than her family. She adored her grandchildren and great-grandchildren and treasured every moment she spent with them. If she could have had all of her grandbabies gathered around her every day, she would have. Her love for her family knew no bounds.

Carol is lovingly survived by her husband, Leroy Gierke; her children, Charlotte Linderman, Barbara and Keith Case, Sean Fisher, and Scott Fisher; 16 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; her niece, Brandy; and her brother, Terry Wittenberg.

She was preceded in death by her sister, Sally; her brother, Dale; her parents; and many beloved aunts and uncles.

Carol's legacy is one of love, compassion, service, and unwavering devotion to her family. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her, but the memories she created and the love she shared will remain in their hearts forever.
