Ephrata college students earn spring academic honors

Ephrata and Soap Lake students earned academic honors at colleges nationwide this spring.

At least 60 former Ephrata and Soap Lake high School students earned academic honors this spring, landing on dean's, honor and president's lists at colleges from Ellensburg to North Carolina.

This roundup includes only those colleges and universities that publish students' hometowns and whose honor lists were available at press time. Students at schools that do not release hometown information are not listed. Know of an local student who should be included? Email contact@gcj.news to add the list.

Barton College

The following Ephrata student was named to the Barton College President's List in Wilson, N.C., for spring semester 2026. Students qualify by earning a perfect 4.0 GPA in at least 12 credit hours.

Central Washington University

The following students were named to the Central Washington University Quarterly Honor Roll for spring quarter 2026. Students qualify by earning a GPA of 3.5 or higher in at least 10 credits.

Ephrata: Katlyn Anderson, Lucas Brewer, Baylie Broesch, Helen Delgado, Hannah Downer, Jordan Granger, Mya Hagy, Alex Matheson, Addison Mills, Esmeralda Santos and Yanely Valdovinos. Soap Lake: Zoe Alberti, Tawney Nash, Blanca Navarro and Judah Tadema.

Eastern Washington University

The following students were named to the Eastern Washington University Dean's List for spring quarter 2026. Undergraduates qualify by earning a GPA of 3.5 or better in at least 12 quality hours.

Ephrata: Liam Bedford, Lexie Diem, Violet Dircio, Yeidckol Hernandez, Landon Evenson, Jamie Farias, Magdalena Hernandez, Krista Jenn, Olivia Lay, Samantha MacNeil, Chase Moser, Alejandro Ramirez and Beatrice Smith. Soap Lake: Annette Carpenter and Addison Frazier.

Oregon State University

The following Ephrata students were named to the Oregon State University Scholastic Honor Roll for spring term 2026. Undergraduate and postbaccalaureate students qualify by earning a GPA of 3.5 or better in at least six graded hours of undergraduate coursework.

University of Idaho

The following Ephrata students were named to the University of Idaho Dean's List for spring semester 2026. Undergraduates qualify by earning a GPA of 3.5 or higher in at least 12 graded credit hours.

Washington State University

The following students were named to the Washington State University President's Honor Roll for spring semester 2026. Undergraduates qualify by earning a GPA of 3.75 or higher in at least nine graded credits in a single semester, or a cumulative GPA of 3.5 or higher across at least 15 graded credits.
