Grant County gets set to celebrate with annual fair
ML Roundup rodeo and demo derby also on tap next week.
MOSES LAKE – The 2026 Grant County Fair opens its annual five-day run on Tuesday, Aug. 18 with the theme, “Ribbons, Rides, and American Pride.”
A showcase of the county’s agriculture, industry, and people, there will be hundreds of livestock, commercial, and arts-and-crafts exhibits on display plus live musical entertainment, a carnival, kids' activities, and plenty of tasty fair food and snacks.
The fairgrounds will be open 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. Tuesday through Thursday, and to 11 p.m. Friday and Saturday.
Fair admission is free all day on Tuesday and before 3 p.m. on Wednesday and Thursday. Individual day passes purchased at the gate cost $10 for adults and $6 for both youth ages 8-17 and seniors ages 62 and older. Children age 7 and younger are admitted free. Discounts are available for online purchases, families, and individual season passes for the entire week. Carnival wristbands, purchased separately, are good for a day of unlimited rides with a discount if purchased online by Monday, Aug. 17. For all ticket information, visit the website for details.
Next door, the Moses Lake Roundup rodeo arena gets the action started Tuesday and Wednesday, Aug. 18-19, with two nights of demolition derby mayhem. Time trials start at 5 p.m., racing at 7 p.m. Then, Thursday through Saturday, the PRCA-sanctioned rodeo will feature some of the nation’s top cowboys and cowgirls with the main events beginning at 7:30 p.m. For ticket information, visit here or call the rodeo office at 509-765-6393. This year’s featured fair entertainer is country music singer Easton Corbin, who signed to Mercury Records Nashville in 2009 and has gone on to produce such hits as “A Little More Country Than That,” “Roll With It,” and “I Can’t Love You Back.” The baritone-voiced Corbin is scheduled to perform Friday, Aug. 21, preceded by special guest Jacquie Roar at 6:30 p.m. on the Brian Miller Stage. General admission is free with fair admission; tickets are $38 for reserved seating.
The week’s entertainment lineup featured on the Caroline Fisher Stage will also include:
— Tuesday: Whisky Trail, 2:30 p.m.; The Misaligned, 4:30 p.m.; Skull Buckle, 6 p.m.; and Dimestore Prophets, 8 p.m.
— Wednesday: Zac Grooms and Luke Basile, 4:30 p.m.; Dancehall Days Band, 8 p.m.;
— Thursday: The Wicked Pickles, 4:30 p.m.; Queen Nation (Queen tribute band), 8 p.m.;
— Friday: Beau Warren, 4:30 p.m.;
— Saturday: Los Vega, 4 p.m.; Conjunto 509, 6 p.m.; La Autentica Vallarta de Eduardo Villela, 8 p.m.
Every afternoon and evening, visitors on the midway can enjoy these roving entertainers — The Bubbler, the Rebecca “Fireplug” Circus, and BOOM-LED Percussion Hype Crew.

Along with touring the exhibit buildings and barns, other family-friendly activities for kids include:
— “Barnology” Petting Zoo: critters with an “educational twist,” daily noon to 9 p.m., South Field;
— Mutton Bustin’: perhaps the next generation of rodeo champions starts here with kids riding sheep for that 8-second count; daily at 4:30 p.m., 6 p.m., and 8 p.m., South Field;
— Reptile Isle: lizards and turtles and snakes oh my!, daily shows at 3 p.m., 5:15 p.m., 7:30 p.m., Children’s Stage.
