EPHRATA MAYOR ‘MEET & GREET’

EPHRATA – The Ephrata Chamber of Commerce is sponsoring a public “meet and greet” session with Ephrata mayoral candidates on Wednesday, Oct. 8, from 5-7:30 p.m. at the Pita Pit restaurant, 26 Basin St. N.W.

Incumbent mayor Bruce Reim and challenger Steve Oliver are slated to begin their respective presentations at 6 p.m. and will be available before and after to visit with constituents, the chamber announced.

The mayor’s position is non-partisan and carries a four-year term beginning Jan. 1, 2026.

Ballots will be mailed out Oct. 15 for the Nov. 4 general election, announced Grant County elections officials.

PROPERTY TAXES DUE OCT. 31

EPHRATA — Grant County taxpayers are reminded that payments of real, mobile home, and personal property taxes for the second half of 2025 are due by Friday, Oct. 31.

Online payments and information regarding parcels are available through the county website, www.grantcountywa.gov, under the “Treasurer” tab.

Mailed payments must be postmarked by Oct. 31 to avoid being delinquent. Tax statements were mailed earlier this year to property owners in Grant County.

“Please verify that all parcels you intend to pay were included on your statements. And please remember to sign your check,” said county treasurer Darryl Pheasant.

A drive-up drop box is also available in the northeast parking lot of the county courthouse, or payments can be made inside the treasurer’s office. Payments made by credit and debit cards are subject to additional processing fees.

For more information, call 509/754-2011, ext. 4201.
