Law Enforcement Reports

The following law enforcement reports were posted Friday, March 27, 2026:

EPHRATA POLICE 

A one-vehicle wreck was reported at 11:45 p.m. Tuesday on Airport Street S.E. near the intersection of State Route 282. Authorities said Nyomi E. Angel, 22, Moses Lake, failed to negotiate a curve and lost control of a 2018 Nissan Maxima which rolled. Grant County sheriff’s deputies and a Washington State Patrol trooper also responded and processed Angel on suspicion of driving under the influence, the report stated.

A theft was reported at 9:50 a.m. Tuesday, March 24, in the 1300 block of Nat Washington Way. Police were told that a male subject pushed out a cart full of merchandise without paying at the Ephrata Walmart store, then fled in a red Toyota Camry. The license plate was recorded and the occupied car was later located and stopped by Quincy police. The driver, identified as 28-year-old Tomas Garibay Cruz, allegedly admitted to shoplifting. He was booked into the Grant County Jail on suspicion of third-degree theft and four outstanding court warrants.

A two-vehicle wreck was reported at 10:46 p.m. Monday in the 1300 block of Basin Street S.W. Police said Ivan Garcia Mendoza, 32, Soap Lake, was exiting a parking lot when his 2001 Ford F150 pickup collided with a 2012 Chrysler 200 sedan driven by Sandra Reyes Gonzales, who was northound on Basin Street. Reyes Gonzales was transported by emergency medical personnel to Columbia Basin Hospital for unspecified medical care. Both vehicles sustained reportable damage.

A theft in progress was reported at 12:48 p.m. Sunday in the 1399 block of Nat Washington Way. Officers reported to the Ephrata Walmart and determined a female subject was at the store after previously being trespassed from the property. Miriam Hernandez, 35, Ephrata, was arrested on suspicion of second-degree burglary and booked into the county jail.

A report of a possibly impaired driver was received at 10:07 p.m. Saturday, March 21 in the 1100 block of Basin Street S.W. A witness provided video of a motorist who was varying vehicle speeds and swerving all over the roadway. An officer located the driver, who showed no signs of intoxication, but admitted he was new in town and got distracted looking out his window.

A report of harassment was received at 7:45 p.m. Saturday, March 21 in the 100 block of F Street N.E. The complainant told police that a neighbor was yelling at them with a megaphone. An officer contacted the neighbor and advised him to stop the yelling. After the officer left the scene, the complainant called back and said the neighbor had resumed his yelling. The incident is under investigation.

A domestic disturbance was reported at 1:04 a.m. Saturday, March 21 in the 17000 block of Road B.5-NE. In an agency assist with the Grant County Sheriff’s Office, an officer contacted the complainant, who said his wife attacked him and he hit her in self-defense. Police were told the couple are divorcing and “things got heated” as everyone at the residence had been drinking. Marcus Dean Jasperson, 41, was taken into custody and booked into the county jail on suspicion of fourth-degree assault (domestic violence).

At 8:06 p.m. Friday, March 20, police were advised that a driver who was possibly involved in a hit-and-run incident was enroute toward Ephrata. An officer conducted a traffic stop in the 100 block of Enterprise Street and determined the driver was wanted on outstanding district court warrants. Troy A. Lannoye, 38, Ephrata, was taken into custody and booked into the county jail.

A report of an erratically driven vehicle was received at 7:21 p.m. Friday, March 20. An officer observed the motorist near the intersection of Basin Street and Third Avenue S.W. Following a traffic stop, Kenneth V. Baye, 54, Moses Lake, was cited for suspicion of driving under the influence and released to the custody of a family member.

SOAP LAKE POLICE

At 12:06 p.m. Wednesday, March 25, police were contacted by a detective in Palm Bay, Florida regarding a victim who was defrauded of $76,600 following two separate incidents in late January. Authorities were told that the money had been deposited at a bank in Ephrata and withdrawn the same day. The detective was advised to notify Ephrata police to inquire about making contact with the alleged suspect.

Following a traffic stop at 4:21 a.m. Wednesday, March 25, near the intersection of Daisy Street and First Avenue N.E., Mihaly Racz, 47, Oroville, was cited for driving with a suspended license and motor vehicle alcohol-ignition interlock violation.

A disturbance was reported at 9:25 p.m. Tuesday, March 24, at an apartment in the first block of South Division Street. Police were told that a male subject was kicking the outside of a tenant’s front door. The man left the scene prior to the arrival of an officer, who observed the door was damaged. When contacted, the occupant declined to provide any information regarding the suspect.

An animal complaint was reported at 4:40 p.m. last Tuesday, March 17, at an unspecified location. The complainant said a neighbor’s rooster was crossing the road to her chickens. The rooster’s owner was notified and endeavored to round up the errant rooster, which fled. Chicken.   

Following a traffic stop at 6:35 a.m. last Tuesday, March 17, near the intersection of Daisy Street and Third Avenue S.E., Dean Bennett, 59, Soap Lake, was cited for driving with a suspended license and advised to register his vehicle.

Following a traffic stopat 9:51 p.m. on Saturday, March 14, near the intersection of Division Street and Seventh Avenue S.E., an officer determined that the driver was wanted on an outstanding district court warrant. Tobias Quintana Godinez, 29, Soap Lake, was taken into custody and booked into the county jail.

Following a traffic stop at 3:52 a.m. Friday, March 13, on State Route 282, Patrick Saum, 63, Ephrata, was cited on suspicion of driving under the influence.

Following a traffic stop at 12:17 a.m. on Friday, March 13, at the intersection of State Route 28 West and Franklin Street NW, Jose Cordova Ramirez, 20, Moses Lake, was cited for driving with a suspended license.

GRANT COUNTY SHERIFF

Following a traffic stop at 7:54 p.m. Thursday, March 26 in the 400 block of A Street S.E. in Ephrata, Angel Arista, 36, Desert Aire, was arrested on suspicion of reckless driving, driving with a suspended license, making false or misleading statements to a public servant, and four outstanding court warrants. He was booked into the Grant County Jail.

A disturbance was reported at 5:23 a.m. Thursday, March 26, in the 5000 block of Road 5-NE. The complainant told authorities that a man and woman were arguing outside a neighboring residence. A deputy responded to the location and determined the male subject was in violation of a court no-contact/protection order. David Natividad Gazca, 30, Moses Lake, was taken into custody and booked into the county jail.

At 9:31 p.m. Wednesday, March 25, authorities were notified that a male driver appeared to be passed out in a vehicle parked in the roadway at the intersection of Roads 19-NE and Road U-NE. Robert Jason Jones, 33, Moses Lake, was taken into custody on suspicion of driving under the influence. While being transported to jail, the suspect allegedly became agitated and bashed his forehead on the patrol car’s partition window, splitting open the skin.

A theft was reported at 7:50 a.m. Wednesday, March 25, in the 600 block of Road L-SW, about five miles southeast of George. Authorities were that an electrical surge protector and three end-gun valves had stolen from irrigation circles. No suspects were identified.

While on patrol at 2:51 p.m. Tuesday, March 24, a deputy observed a wanted subject cleaning out trash from his vehicle in the 100 block of East Inglewood Drive NE near Moses Lake. The suspect, 35-year-old Tommy Joe Salinas of Moses Lake, allegedly refused to exit the vehicle at first but was eventually taken into custody. He was booked into the county jail on outstanding district court warrants and suspicion of resisting arrest.

A theft was reported at 9:17 a.m. Monday, March 23, in the 17900 block of North Frontage Road East, about eight miles east of Moses Lake. The complainant said a John Deere GPS receiver and display system valued at $18,000 had been stolen. No suspects were identified. 

A disturbance was reported at 7:02 p.m. Sunday, March 22, at the Coulee City Campground. Authorities were told that a male subject in a boat was acting aggressive, harassing others, and spinning circles in the water near shore. Lanny Michael Nelson, 45, no town listed, was arrested and booked into jail on suspicion of driving under the influence and unlawful display of a weapon.

A domestic disturbance was reported at 10:07 a.m. Sunday, March 22, in the 1000 block of Vandenberg Loop near Moses Lake. The complainant told authorities that she was relaying a message from her cousin, who was allegedly assaulted overnight by a male acquaintance but afraid to call law enforcement. Deputies contacted the parties and determined there was probable cause to arrest the suspect, 25-year-old Marvin Rodriguez-Sanchez of Moses Lake. He was booked into the county jail on suspicion of fourth-degree assault (domestic violence).

A domestic disturbance was reported at 4:28 a.m. Sunday, March 22, in the 4200 block of Dunn Street NE near Moses Lake. Authorities were told that a woman and male acquaintance were drinking when a dispute “turned physical.” Deputies responded and arrested Tresa Leann Ackley, 24, Moses Lake, on suspicion of fourth-degree assault (domestic violence). She was booked into the county jail.

A domestic disturbance was reported at 7:78 p.m. last Friday, March 20, in the 7400 block of Bouldercrest Road NE near Moses Lake. The complainant told authorities that a male family member was intoxicated and “losing it.” Bogdan Shybta, 45, Moses Lake, was arrested and booked into jail on suspicion of fourth-degree assault (domestic violence). 

A domestic disturbance was reported at 12:24 a.m. last Friday, March 20, in the 17000 block of Road A-NW, north of Ephrata. The complainant said a female acquaintance broke into his trailer, then left and was hiding outside. Nicole Shenefelt, 28, Ephrata, was arrested and booked into jail on suspicion of fourth-degree assault (domestic violence). Around 6:25 a.m. Tuesday, March 24, Shenefelt was reported to be in the vicinity, but law enforcement determined no crime occurred.


The following law enforcement reports were posted Friday, March 20, 2026:

EPHRATA POLICE

At 2:28 p.m. Wednesday, March 18, police were informed that two people were observed slumped over in a vehicle in the 1100 block of Basin Street S.W. A records check showed the two individuals were wanted on outstanding court warrants. Randy Dean Love, 38, Lakeview Park, and Emily Rose Marie Brinkley, 21, Seabeck, were taken into custody and booked into the Grant County Jail. A “tooter” drug inhaler found in the vehicle was confiscated for disposal.

A two-vehicle, non-injury collision was reported at 8:15 a.m. Wednesday, March 18, in the 2100 block of Basin Street S.W. Police said Brian J. Finke, 53, Soap Lake, was yielding to oncoming traffic when his 2011 GMC Sierra truck was struck from behind by a Nissan Titan pickup driven by America Valencia Graceda, 46, George, who was following too close and failed to stop in time.

A disturbance was reported at 2:51 p.m. Tuesday, March 17, in the first block of Alder Street N.W. Police were told that a male subject became disruptive at the Ephrata Public Library when he was asked turn down the volume on his phone. The man became angry, cursing and threatening to throw hot tea on a library worker. The suspect left the premises and could not be located by officers.

A trespassing incident was reported at 11:39 a.m. Tuesday, March 17 in the 500 block of Basin Street N.W. Police were told that a male subject had returned to the Anytime Fitness gym after previously being banned from the premises. Jairo Alexander Carias Alexander, 30, Ephrata, was arrested on suspicion of first-degree criminal trespass and booked into the county jail.

A theft attempt was reported at 12:50 p.m. Tuesday, March 17, in the 1100 block of Third Avenue N.E. The complainant said someone tried to steal a vehicle overnight and the interior dash was damaged.

A malicious mischief incident was reported at 7:22 a.m. Tuesday, March 17, in the 100 block of G Street N.E. The complainant said a rear side window of her vehicle was broken out overnight. She was uncertain whether the vehicle had been entered and any possessions stolen.

A vehicle-pedestrian collision was reported at 3 p.m. Monday, March 16, in the 700 block of Roosevelt Boulevard N.W. An 18-year-old male from Ephrata was struck by a 2013 Dodge Durango driven by Eric J. Ping, 44, Ephrata. The pedestrian was transported by family to Wenatchee for treatment of minor injuries and later released, a police spokesman said. A Washington State Patrol accident report was completed and no citations were issued.

At 2:44 p.m. Monday, March 16, police located a wanted person in the 1200 block of Cottage Street S.E. William Thomas Laroque, 42, Ephrata, was arrested on suspicion of second-degree criminal trespass after being observed on Walmart property after previously being banned from the premises. Laroque, who was also wanted on outstanding court warrants, was booked into the county jail.

A shoplifting theft was reported at 6:10 p.m. Sunday, March 15, in the 1300 block of Nat Washington Way. Police were informed that three individuals who appeared to be juveniles had earlier pushed out a shopping cart containing multiple cases of Twisted Tea and Mike’s Hard Lemonade malt beverages from the Ephrata Walmart.  

At 3:38 p.m. Sunday, March 15, police assisted in responding to a fire report in the 2400 block of Cherry Blossom Drive. Officers ensured everyone was out of the residence, which was filled with smoke. No flames were observed, but there were indications of combustion on an inside wall behind a kitchen stove. Personnel from the Ephrata Fire Department and Grant County Fire District 13 provided a mutual-aid response to the location.

Early Sunday morning, March 15, police issued multiple traffic citations in the vicinity of Second Avenue N.E. and Linda Ridge Loop for vehicles and trailers parked too close to fire hydrants, parked the wrong way, or parked with expired registrations on city streets.

A one-vehicle, non-injury wreck was reported at 9:19 p.m. Friday, March 13, at the corner of A Street and Third Avenue N.E. Police said Duane Bolton, 31, Cashmere, failed to negotiate the turn due to excess speed and his 1996 Mitsubishi Mirage went off the north side of the roadway, striking a Grant PUD electrical box and a bush on residential property.  

GRANT COUNTY SHERIFF

A domestic disturbance was reported at 11:29 p.m. Wednesday, March 18, in the 7600 block of Road O-NW near Quincy. The complainant said she had been assaulted by her husband. Deputies responded and determined that the woman was the primary aggressor against the 28-year-old male. Esperanza Louisa Gonzales, 29, was arrested on suspicion of fourth-degree assault (domestic violence) and booked into the Grant County Jail.

A report of suspicious circumstances was received at 9:27 a.m. Wednesday, March 18. Authorities were told that a child informed a preschool teacher that her parents were arguing and her father had become upset and discharged a firearm in the home, shooting a door and a window. Deputies conducted a welfare check at the residence in the 1600 block of Hiawatha Road NE near Moses Lake, talked to the parents, and determined there was probable cause to arrest the father. Michael Angel Benes, 41, was taken into custody and booked into the county jail on suspicion of second-degree malicious mischief, unlawful aiming or discharging of a firearm, and five counts of reckless endangerment.

A theft was reported at 7:24 a.m. Wednesday, March 18 in the 7800 block of Andrews Street NE at the Grant County Airport near Moses Lake. Deputies were told that a 2023 Yanmar mini-excavator valued at $100,000 had been stolen from a work site. A GPS tracking device showed the excavator at a location in the 4600 block of State Route 28 East near Soap Lake. Deputies responded and contacted a resident, identified as 48-year-old Jesus Salcedo Alvarez, who said he had purchased the equipment but allegedly could not provide any proof of ownership. Deputies also located another piece of construction equipment, a Dynapac asphalt roller valued at $12,000, that was allegedly stolen from the same job site. Alvarez was taken into custody, booked into the Grant County Jail, and has been charged in superior court with theft of a motor vehicle and possession of a stolen motor vehicle.

A domestic disturbance was reported at 7:20 a.m. Tuesday, March 17 in the 8600 block of Lybbert Drive NE near Moses Lake. Authorities were told that a male subject was threatening family members and breaking windows after previously being banned from the residence. Agustin Rosas Lozano, 27, Moses Lake, was arrested and booked into jail on suspicion of second-degree malicious mischief (domestic violence) and two counts of violation of a court no-contact/protection order.

A non-injury hit-and-run incident involving property damage was reported at 12:18 p.m. on Sunday, March 15, at the intersection of Hiawatha Road NE and North Frontage Road East near Moses Lake. Authorities were told that a male subject had driven through a fence at the location. Leobardo Ramos Delgado, 25, George, was arrested and booked into jail on suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs, alcohol-ignition interlock violation, and driving with a suspended license.

 At 1:29 a.m. on Sunday, March 15, a deputy performed a traffic stop of a suspected impaired driver at the intersection of North Ellice Avenue and Cooper Street in Mattawa. When taken into custody, 21-year-old Humberto Sanchez Paz of Mattawa allegedly spit on the deputy’s face. Paz was booked into jail on suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs, resisting arrest, and third-degree assault of a law enforcement officer.

Following a traffic stop at 2 p.m. last Friday, March 13, in the 200 block of Loring Drive NE near Moses Lake, a deputy took two subjects into custody on outstanding court warrants. Michael Dean Sheppard, 34, Moses Lake, and Harmony Elizabeth Reed, 27, no town listed, were booked into the county jail.

WASHINGTON STATE PATROL

 High-speed pursuit ends in arrest

A male subject was arrested early Wednesday morning, March 18 in Moses Lake following a high-speed chase exceeding 100 mph that began on Interstate 90, when a trooper observed a white 2011 Ford F150 westbound on the freeway shortly before 2 a.m.

The driver allegedly refused to stop and continued into Moses Lake, where local police also joined the pursuit. Authorities said the driver veered into oncoming lanes and ignored traffic lights until a Moses Lake officer used his vehicle to contact and spin the pickup to a stop.

Troopers said the driver, identified as 24-year-old Colby Scott Delvin of Kalispell, Montana, showed signs of drug use and impairment.  It was determined the Ford pickup had been stolen from a location in Ritzville. 

Delvin was booked into the Grant County Jail and has been charged in superior court with possession of a stolen vehicle, attempting to elude a pursuing police vehicle, and driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs.


The following law enforcement reports were posted Friday, March 13, 2026:

EPHRATA POLICE

Police were notified that a female subject was at a location in violation of a court no-contact/protection order. The suspect, identified as 35-year-old Alyx Kylee Rodriguez of George, was located around 1 a.m. in the 700 block of Basin Street N.W. She was taken into custody for the alleged violation and booked into the Grant County Jail.

A burglary was reported at 4:58 p.m. Thursday, March 12, in the 500 block of Alder Street N.W. A Soap Lake woman said her storage unit had been broken into. An itemized statement was provided to police. No suspects were immediately identified.

At 12:46 a.m. Thursday, March 12, police contacted a male subject wanted on outstanding court warrants. Andrew Alex Parent Jr., 39, Ephrata, was taken into custody and booked into the Grant County Jail. A report will be sent to the county prosecutor’s office for consideration of a charge of unlawful possession of a dangerous weapon.

An animal complaint was received at 3:07 p.m. Tuesday, March 10. Police were told that a resident in the 1400 block of D Street S.W. was keeping numerous fowl, including two roosters, on the property in violation of municipal codes. An officer contacted the owner, who said she would “remedy the issue.” A follow-up contact was slated for March 18.

A behavioral disorder was reported at 4:23 a.m. Tuesday, March 10, in the 400 block of Patrick Road. A woman advised authorities that she was not sure if she was dreaming or awake. An officer contacted the woman and learned she had ingested some marijuana “dabs” — highly potent cannabis concentrates — a day earlier and was likely still under the influence. At the woman’s request, police called for an ambulance response.

At 8:29 p.m. Sunday, March 8, police were notified that a neighbor’s backyard appeared to be on fire in the first block of H Street S.E. Officers contacted a male subject who was burning wood and cardboard boxes with flames that extending over a fence. The man was advised not to burn cardboard boxes within city limits.

A burglary in progress was reported at 2:52 p.m. Sunday, March 8, in the 1100 block of Yakima Street S.E. The complainant told authorities that he heard voices inside a family member’s home when no one was supposed to be there. Officers located and arrested Tyler Lee Hammer, 34, and Kelsie Marie Rogers, 27, both of Ephrata, on suspicion of residential burglary. Hammer was also accused of trafficking in stolen property for allegedly trying to sell belongings that had been stolen from the residence. Both suspects were booked into the county jail.

A two-vehicle, non-injury collision was reported at 12:34 p.m. Saturday, March 7, in the 1300 block of Basin Street S.W. Police said Pamela M. Barrows, 76, Quincy, was driving south and attempted a left turn into a business entryway when her 2019 Kia Sportage struct a northbound 2018 Subaru Impreza driven by Fabian M. Vargas, 24, Rockford.

A disturbance was reported at 11:23 a.m. Friday, March 7, in the 1100 block of Cottage Street S.E. The complainant said a female neighbor had yelled at her daughter and sprayed an unknown substance on her dog. The complainant asked police to contact the neighbor regarding the incidents.

SOAP LAKE POLICE

Following a traffic stop at 4:59 p.m. Wednesday, March 11, at the intersection of State Route 28 and Road A-NE, Ethan Grevstad, 27, Moses Lake, was cited for failure to transfer vehicle title within 45 days.

A theft was reported at 10:25 a.m. Tuesday, March 10, in the 300 block of Lakeshore Drive. An officer contact a 78-year-old man who said his electric bicycle — described as dark blue with a battery pack on the rear wheel — was missing.

A dispute was reported at 7:52 p.m. Monday, March 9, in the 100 block of Fourth Avenue S.E. Police were told that a father and son had been arguing via text messages on whether a dog should be euthanized for its aggressive behavior. An officer contacted both men who agreed to end their discussions for the evening.

Over the past week, the following individuals were cited for driving with suspended licenses: Cassandra Taylor, 30, Soap Lake; Michael Dye, 63, Soap Lake; Gisela Perez Rogel, 24, Wenatchee; Andrew Bigham, 51, Soap Lake; Nikolay Kozlov, 44, Soap Lake;

Over the past week, officers issued multiple warnings to owners of improperly parked vehicles and vehicles with expired license tabs. The owners were advised to move or properly park the vehicles or citations would be issued.

GRANT COUNTY SHERIFF

Deputies located a wanted subject on Thursday, March 12, in the 200 block of Dill Avenue in Grand Coulee. Robert Gerald Capshaw, 46, Grand Coulee, was accused of accessing the vehicle of a former partner on Feb. 27, then breaking the windshield with a walking stick. Capshaw was taken into custody on suspicion of third-degree malicious mischief and an outstanding superior court warrant. He was booked into the Grant County Jail.

Following a traffic stop at 11:31 a.m. Tuesday, March 10, near Potato Hill Road and Road 1-NE, Aleksandr Babak, 39, Moses Lake, was arrested on outstanding court warrants and booked into the county jail.

Following a traffic stop at 1:32 a.m. Wednesday, March 11, near the intersection of Basin Street and Second Avenue N.W., Joy Janice Arreola Kern, 25, Ephrata, was arrested and booked into jail on suspicion of driving under the influence and driving with a suspended license.

A domestic dispute was reported at 4:33 a.m. Tuesday in the 5500 block of North Frontage Road West near George. The complainant told authorities that she heard “banging around” and a woman crying in a neighboring residence. Deputies responded to the location and contacted a 36-year-old woman who said she had been thrown around by a male acquaintance. The suspect refused to exit the residence after 90 minutes of negotiations and deployment of less-than-lethal pepper balls into the home. Deputies said they were preparing to breach the front door to allow entry of a K-9 dog, but when Storm barked to announce his presence, the suspect came outside and surrendered without further incident. Ken Jason Taylor, 39, George, was arrested and booked into jail on suspicion of fourth-degree assault (domestic violence), obstructing a law enforcement officer, resisting arrest, and felon in possession of a firearm.

A one-vehicle accident was reported at 11:11 p.m. Monday, March 9, in the 8500 block of Randolph Road NE near Moses Lake. Deputies said a driver lost control of a vehicle that left the roadway and rolled multiple times. The unidentified driver sustained unspecified injuries and was transported to Samaritan Hospital.  

A moving domestic disturbance was reported at 4:23 a.m. Sunday, March 8. A 21-year-old Moses Lake woman called 911, alleging that a male companion elbowed her while they were driving. Following a traffic stop near the intersection of State Route 17 at the Stratford Road exit, Jose Luis Iraheta Juarez, 35, listed as homeless, was arrested on suspicion of fourth-degree assault (domestic violence) and booked into the county jail.  

A domestic disturbance was reported at 6:36 a.m. Saturday, March 7, in the 12100 block of Road 5-NW, south of Quincy. Authorities were told that a male subject had dragged a 33-year-old female out of a residence, injuring her knee. Deputies arrested the suspect, 38-year-old Fausto Alberto Parra of Quincy, on suspicion of fourth-degree assault (domestic violence) and an outstanding court warrant. He was booked into the county jail.

A domestic disturbane was reported at 3:51 a.m. Saturday, March 7, in the 17100 block of Road 9-SW,  southwest of George. Authorities were told that an intoxicated male subject was out of control, breaking a window and attacking a 32-year-old male acquaintance. Amairami Moreno, 25, no town listed, was arrested and booked into jail on suspicion of fourth-degree assault (domestic violence) and third-degree malicious mischief (domestic violence).

A disturbance was reported at 9:29 p.m. last Friday, March 6, in the 7400 block of Road F-SE. Authorities were told that an intoxicated male had attacked a neighbor. William Robert Brisebois, 61, Othello, was arrested and booked into jail on suspicion of fourth-degree assault (domestic violence). 


The following law enforcement reports were posted Friday, March 6, 2026:

EPHRATA POLICE

A two-vehicle, non-injury collision was reported at 2:48 p.m. Thursday. Police said Connor J. Middleton, 22, Ephrata, was eastbound on Second Avenue S.W., stopped at the Basin Street intersection, then entered the intersection without yielding the right-of-way. Middleton’s 2013 Subaru Outback struck a 2016 Chrysler 200 driven by Trisha L. Curtis, 36, Ephrata, who was southbound on Basin Street. The two drivers exchanged information and the Chrysler was towed from the scene.

A domestic disturbance was reported at 5:37 p.m. on Tuesday, March 3, in the 100 block of First Avenue N.W. The complainant said he was involved in a physical altercation with a female acquaintance. Officers located Alyx K. Rodriguez, 35, George, who was arrested on suspicion of fourth-degree assault (domestic violence) and booked into the Grant County Jail.

A one-vehicle, non-injury collision involving property damage was reported at 9:59 a.m. Tuesday, March 3, at the intersection of Basin Street and Fifth Avenue S.W. Police said Todd W. Christopher, 54, Moses Lake, was attempting a right-hand turn onto Basin Street from Fifth Avenue and had to veer sharply to avoid a collision with an oncoming vehicle. Christopher’s 2008 Ford F250 pickup struck a light pole and intersection stop sign and damaged the side of a 2026 RV trailer.

A domestic disturbance was reported at 12:01 a.m. on Saturday, Feb. 28, in the 300 block of Sixth Avenue S.E. Police were told that a male subject had spit on a 26-year-old female acquaintance during an argument. Brennen Anthony Riseland, 31, Ephrata, was arrested on suspicion of fourth-degree assault (domestic violence) and booked into the county jail.

SOAP LAKE POLICE

At 1:46 a.m. Thursday, March 5, an officer conducted a traffic stop of a motorist allegedly driving 80 mph in a 60-mph zone near the intersection of State Route 17 North and Road 18.8 NE. The driver showed signs of impairment and was processed by a Washington State Patrol trooper who responded to the location. Elmer Sanchez, 21, Moses Lake, was cited on suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs and released to a friend, the report stated.

While on patrol at 1:23 p.m. Tuesday, March 3, an officer observed a wanted subject walking along Division Avenue near South Sixth Street. Dale Terletter, 53, Moses Lake, was taken into custody without incident on outstanding court warrants and transported to the Grant County Jail. During a search of Terletter, officers allegedly found him in possession of a substance suspected as methamphetamine, glass pipes, unspecified pills, and two credit cards, the report stated.

A domestic disturbance was reported at 9:48 p.m. Sunday, March 1 in the 500 block of Third Avenue N.E. Police were told a physical assault occurred involving a 37-year-old woman, and a male subject who allegedly tried to block notifying authorities of the incident. Joshua Tyler Shelton, 40, Rock Island, was arrested and booked into the county jail on suspicion of interfering with reporting of domestic violence. Shelton also faces criminal charges of third-degree assault of a law enforcement officer and driving under the influence stemming from a Moses Lake police investigation.

A theft attempt was reported at 2:18 p.m. Sunday, March 1, in the 100 block of South Daisy Street. Police were told a woman was suspected of shoplifting merchandise at Akins Fresh Market and pushing an employee before exiting the store. Amanda Joy Herger, 41, Ephrata, was arrested and booked into jail on suspicion of third-degree theft and second-degree robbery.

While on patrol at 6:25 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 28, an officer observed a wanted subject in the 100 block of South Daisy Street. Christopher Greg Newman, 50, Ephrata, was taken into custody and booked into jail on outstanding district court warrants.

A theft was reported at 10:59 a.m. on Friday, Feb. 27, in the 500 block of South Aster Street. The complainant said two tires had been stolen from a vehicle parked at the location. No suspects were identified.

A report of threats was received at 7:21 p.m. last Thursday, Feb. 26, in the 500 block of Aster Street. The complainant said a 17-year-old Soap Lake boy had punched or made multiple threats to assault two other boys, ages 14 and 12. The 17-year-old was taken into custody and transported to juvenile authorities.

GRANT COUNTY SHERIFF

At 2 p.m. on Wednesday, March 4, deputies located a wanted subject in the 100 block of Fourth Avenue S.W. in Ephrata. Jeffrey Lynn Hughes, 50, Ephrata, was taken into custody and booked into the Grant County Jail on suspicion of second-degree burglary, second-degree theft, and third-degree malicious mischief. Hughes and his vehicle were allegedly identified in connection with an early morning break-in at a residence under construction in the 8800 block of Neppel Road NE near Moses Lake. Authorities were told that flooring material valued at $2,500 had been stolen and a surveillance camera had been smashed in the incident.

At 1:08 p.m. on Wednesday, March 4, deputies located a wanted subject in the 21000 block of Road A-NE near Soap Lake. Cody Allen Lang, 31, Ephrata, was taken into custody and booked into jail on two counts of trafficking in stolen property. Lang was accused of attempting to sell two lift trailers which had previously been reported stolen from rural Ephrata locations. 

A malicious mischief incident was reported at 4:29 p.m. on Monday, March 2, in the 9800 block of Road M.3-NE near Moses Lake. The complainant said she was pushed by a male acquaintance who allegedly threw a rock which broke her vehicle windshield. Deputies arrested Todd Anthony Cesario, 57, Moses Lake, on suspicion of fourth-degree assault (domestic violence) and third-degree malicious mischief (domestic violence). He was booked into the county jail.

A domestic disturbance was reported at 2:59 p.m. on Sunday, March 1, in the 700 block of Lakeside Way SW at Desert Aire. Authorities were told that a male subject had pushed two female family members during an argument. Anthony Kevin DeVonne Wooldridge, 63, was taken into custody and booked into jail on suspicion of two counts of fourth-degree assault (domestic violence).

A theft was reported at 5:19 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 28, in the 1000 block of North Stratford Road at Moses Lake. Authorities told that a female subject had stolen merchandise from the Moses Lake Walmart after previously being banned from the property. Jennifer Lee Shearer, 45, was booked into jail on suspicion of second-degree burglary, third-degree theft, and unlawful possession of a controlled substance (fentanyl).

Following a traffic stop at 11:17 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 27 on Road 24.1-SW near Mattawa, Ignacio Rangel Reyes, 50, no town listed, was arrested and booked into jail on suspicion of driving under the influence.

A theft was reported at 2:07 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 27, in the 7800 block of Road 10-NW, south of Ephrata. A 45-year-old woman told authorities that her debit card had been stolen and used to make $695 in unauthorized purchases from a website. No suspects were identified.

A domestic disturbance was reported at 3:05 a.m. on Saturday, Feb. 27, in the 7100 block of Road P-NE near Moses Lake. A 36-year-old woman told authorities that her roommate barred her from entering the premises, pushing her and slamming her foot in the door. Marco Antonio Sanchez, 53, Moses Lake, was arrested and booked into jail on suspicion of fourth-degree assault (domestic violence).

A one-vehicle rollover accident was reported at 10:03 p.m. last Thursday, Feb. 26, near the intersection of Martin Road NW and Road J-NW near Quincy. Deputies said Jorge Rodriguez Bazan, 47, Rock Island, was driving a 2015 BMW which left the north side of the roadway, traveled up embankment and came to rest on its roof in a dry irrigation canal. Bazan and two passengers — a 43-year-old woman from East Wenatchee and a 19-year-old male from Quincy — were transported to Quincy Valley Hospital for unspecified medical care.

A possible trespassing incident was reported at 5:40 p.m. last Thursday, Feb. 26, in the 17900 block of Road A-NW north of Ephrata. Authorities were told that a female subject was not supposed to be at the location. Nicole Shenefelt, 28, Ephrata, was arrested and booked into jail for violation of a court no-contact/protection order.

A domestic disturbance was reported at 11:45 a.m. last Wednesday, Feb. 25, in the 21000 block of Road 24.7-SW near Mattawa. Authorities were told there was a physical altercation between a female subject and her boyfriend. Wendy Alvarado Martinez, 20, Mattawa, was arrested and booked into jail on suspicion of fourth-degree assault (domestic violence).
