EPHRATA — Ephrata struggled to find the basket Saturday, falling to Omak 52-29 in nonconference action on Saturday, Dec. 27.

The Lady Tigers trailed 9-6 after one quarter and 27-17 at halftime, but during a rough third quarter, they were outscored 16-4 and the deficit proved too much to overcome.

Despite that, Sophie Molitor had a solid effort for Ephrata, netting eight points and collecting a game-high nine rebounds.

Maycee Black (24) goes up for the opening tip against Omak.

"Sophie had a good night for us," coach Alain Black said.

Cassidy Cox added six points, Jill Linehan chipped in five points and three assists, and Maycee Black finished with four points, seven rebounds and a team-high three steals.

The Tigers huddle around coach Alain Black as he draws up a play during a timeout.

Ephrata (0-8, 0-4 CWAC) returns to league play with two games this week.

The Lady Tigers haven't won since Feb. 12, 2024, but Friday's road matchup with Othello presents a chance to turn the page. The Huskies squad is 0-4 in CWAC play and 1-6 overall, their only win coming against Class 2B Tri-Cities Prep.

On Saturday, Ephrata hosts Ellensburg (6-2, 2-2 CWAC) — last year's WIAA 2A state runner-up.
