Pamela Jean Cook, 76

Born: December 5, 1949 - Died: July 8, 2026
Pamela Jean Cook, a longtime resident of Ephrata, Washington, passed away on Wednesday, July 8, 2026 at Confluence Health/Central Washington Hospital in Wenatchee. She was 76.

Pam was born on Dec. 5, 1949 at Riverside, California to Alton and Barbara Jean Allsop. She married Lester Michael Cook on Aug. 29, 1975 at Las Vegas, Nevada. The couple moved to Ephrata, where they have resided for the past 47 years.

Pam worked as a hairdresser in numerous local beauty shops for over two decades, then as a receptionist for the Grant County Journal newspaper until her retirement.

Also a homemaker, her interests included camping, cooking, and crafting. She was a member of Memorial Christian Church and the Ephrata Eagles lodge and American Legion post. Pam is fondly remembered for loving tolerance, faithfulness, service to others, and sense of humor.

Pam was preceded in death by her parents and a daughter. She is survived by her husband Mike of 50-plus years; five adult childen, Sean Siemon of Kennewick, Jeremy Cook of Moses Lake, Scott Cook of Ephrata, Linda Cook of Seattle, and Josh Cook of Ephrata; brother Rick Allsop of Lake Havasu, Arizona; 19 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

A memorial service is planned for Saturday, Aug. 15, 2026, at 2 p.m. at the United Methodist Church of Ephrata, 117 C St. N.W., with Pastor Don Dunn presiding.

If desired, memorial donations in Pam’s name may be made to the Ephrata Eagles and Ephrata American Legion.
