Ephrata girls soccer won two straight Central Washington Athletic Conference matches in overtime, beating Selah 3-2 at home Saturday and Othello 3-2 on the road Tuesday.
Tiger sophomore Skarlett Sanchez, back from a broken arm and playing in a soft cast, scored three goals in the two matches, including the overtime winner against Othello.
During Saturday's match, Selah led 1-0 at intermission, but Sanchez tied it midway through the second half, scoring directly from a long free kick after the visiting Vikings were whistled for a handball violation.
Selah regained the lead on a header off a corner kick with about four minutes left in the match. But Ephrata senior defender McKinnley Graaff answered with the equalizer from long range — the first goal of her high school career — with under two minutes to play, sending the match into overtime.
Sophomore Brooklynne Addink won it late in the overtime period. Junior Alexis St. Mary threw the ball in to senior Brooklynn Sieverkropp, whose cross found Addink for the winner.
"Aiyana Valle, our keeper, had one of the best games in the three years I've coached her. She played lights out," head coach Gary Klepec said of the junior keeper's performance against Selah. "She was the player of the game."

At Othello on Tuesday, Sanchez scored twice, including the overtime winner, and junior Aliyah Lafferty added her first goal of the season in the Tigers' 3-2 victory.
The wins move Ephrata to 4-7-2 overall and into a three-way tie with Quincy and Selah at 4-2 in league play.
Ephrata hosts Quincy at 6 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 15, in a rematch showdown at the EHS soccer complex. Quincy beat the Lady Tigers 4-1 in a nonleague contest on Sept. 15.
Around the CWAC: Ellensburg took over first place with a 3-0 win over East Valley, Quincy beat Prosser 3-1 and Selah edged Toppenish 2-1.
Tiger volleyball falls at Othello
Ephrata volleyball lost at Othello 25-22, 25-16, 25-11 on Tuesday, dropping to 2-11 overall and 0-6 in the Central Washington Athletic Conference.
The Tigers generated 22 points in a strong opening set, but their offense cooled in the next two sets against a Huskie squad that improved to 3-3 in CWAC play, 4-6 overall with the win.

Two league matches remain for Ephrata, which hosts Quincy (0-12) on Thursday, Oct. 15. The Tigers swept the Lady Jacks in nonleague play Sept. 15, one of only two wins this season. The Ephrata squad closes conference play at Prosser on Oct. 20.
Around the CWAC: Third-place Prosser swept last-place Quincy 3-0 on Tuesday, second-place Selah topped Toppenish 3-0, and unbeaten Ellensburg similarly swept East Valley (Yakima). Ellensburg sits at 7-0 in league play and has dropped just two sets this season.
