Stella Bayley finished first and Rayn Castillo second in the Central Washington Athletic Conference's final individual girls golf standings as they led the Lady Tigers to the regular-season team title with a sixth pod win Wednesday at Sage Hills Golf Club in Warden.

A day earlier, the Ephrata boys closed CWAC play tied for third in the team standings after finishing fourth in Pod 7 play at Selah.

Castillo shot a 92 to claim second behind medalist Bella Cha (90) of Prosser as the Tigers impressively captured four of the top five individual spots during their final pod match of the season. Lining up behind Castillo were teammates Ceci Roth, one stroke back with a 93 to finish third, Stella Bayley shot 94 for fourth and Sophie Molitor took fifth at 98 to complete the EHS scoring quartet.

Alyee Roberts shot 107 for 15th, and senior Natalin Abundiz rounded out Ephrata's lineup at 139.

Combined, the Tigers' score of 377 beat runnerup Othello (427) by 50 strokes in an eight-team field. Quincy placed third at 447, Ellensburg fourth at 449 and East Valley fifth at 460.

Ephrata won the regular-season team title with 60 points, 6.5 clear of Othello (53.5) and Selah (50.5). In doing so, the Tigers won six of seven pods — the only blemish was a fourth-place finish at Ellensburg on April 7 when they were missing two of their top four golfers during spring break.

Bayley ran away with the CWAC's individual season title with 300 points, Castillo (272) placed second, with Prosser's Cha third at 265.  Other Tigers finishing among the league's top 15 golfers were Molitor 10th (215), Roberts 13th (184.5) and Roth 14th (174.5).

Brady Hendrick shot 87 for 17th, Cody Ogle 90 for 27th, and Rogan Homer 99 for 37th with a birdie on the 17th.

East Valley’s Ayden Kline shot 1-over 73 to win the day.

Collectively, Ephrata placed fourth at the final pod with a 331 score, one stroke behind Grandview (330) in the nine-team field. Ellensburg won the team title at 321, with East Valley second at 323.

For the season, the Tiger boys ended league play tied with Grandview for third in the CWAC team standings, each at 45 points. East Valley led the conference with 56 points; Ellensburg (53.5) was runnerup.

Individually, Weber tied for seventh with Grandview's Easton Stokes with 241 points. Three more Tigers ranked in the league's top 16: Ogle 12th (176.5), Julian 13th (168.5) and Moberg 16th (155).

The boys host districts Monday, May 11, at Lakeview Golf and Country Club in Soap Lake with a 10 a.m. tee time. The girls open districts Tuesday, May 12, at Black Rock Creek Golf Course in Sunnyside with an 11 a.m. tee time.
