The Tigers couldn't find their rhythm on offense or slow Grandview's second-half surge despite mixing it up defensively, switching between 2-3 and 1-3-1 zones, man-to-man and stretches of full-court pressure.

For the night, Ephrata shot 28.8% from the field, but only trailed by three at halftime. After the intermission, though, the Greyhounds pulled away, outscoring the Tigers 35-15 in the two final quarters.

For Ephrata, junior post Mitchell Morford produced a double-double outing, reeling in 13 rebounds and shooting 46% from the field to finish with 13 points. Freshman Levi Wilson also made an impressive varsity debut after being called up from jayvees, hitting both of his three-point attempts for six first-half points.

Another bright spot: the Tigers cut their turnovers to 20, an improvement from recent outings.

Darius Montelongo led the way for the Greyhounds with a game-hight 23 points.
