Vera Walker (Buhler), 95
Born April 11, 1930, Vera M. Walker (Bluher) lived a long substantial life. Born to John and Myrtle Bluher (Filson) in Meadowbrook, WA. She was the youngest of 12 children.
At 19, she met the one and only love of her life, Alvin V. Walker and on June 18, 1949, she married Alvin. They lived a happily together until Alvin’s death in 1998.
A son Dale was born in 1952, and another son Calvin was born in 1958.
The family enjoyed growing up on several farms started by Alvin and Vera, Valley Poultry Farm (Snoqualmie) and another farm in the Columbia Basin. Vera enjoyed the life of a farm wife, helping with the daily chores and raising her children. She also had a long career at Lamb Weston working in manifest at the Quincy plant.
Vera enjoyed quality time with her family, son Dale (Vel), son Calvin (Patty), grandson Brian, granddaughter Tami (Ryan), great-grandsons Gunner and Cannon who at a younger age, called her Banana.
A celebration of life will be scheduled at a later date.
