You're invited! Celebrate the launch of GCJ.news — Ephrata’s new local news source
Updated
EPHRATA — Join us as we introduce GCJ.news: a nonprofit, independent online news platform dedicated to delivering accurate, fair, and accessible journalism to the greater Ephrata community.
A group of engaged, longtime Ephrata residents came together earlier this year with a shared concern: the absence of local news since the Grant County Journal closed its doors in 2023. Their vision? To build something new — and necessary.
That vision is becoming a reality. GCJ.news is launching this August as Ephrata’s own nonprofit, independent, community-focused news service. And we want you to be a part of it!
Come meet the civic-minded volunteers, staff, and founding board members behind GCJ.news. Learn how this project came to life, hear what’s coming next, and discover how you can support local journalism in Ephrata.
📅 Event: GCJ.News Public Open House 🗓 Date: Saturday, September 6 ⏰ Time: 2:00–5:00 p.m. 📍 Location: The Nat Washington House, 42 C Street NW, Ephrata (across from the Grant County Courthouse)
