Community invited as Tiger Fever builds for Oct. 17 homecoming rally
EPHRATA — The community is invited to help pump up the Tigers at the Fall Sports Prep Rally, set for Friday, Oct. 17, from 3:30 to 6 p.m. in the Moore Furniture parking lot.

The event, organized by the Ephrata High School Class of 2026 Senior Parent group, will bring together students, parents, community members, coaches and athletes to celebrate both Homecoming Week and Ephrata High School’s fall sports season.
All proceeds from the rally will go toward funding the EHS Class of 2026 senior graduation night party.
Attendees can look forward to a fun, family-friendly afternoon featuring all fall sports teams, along with performances by the Ephrata High School band, cheerleaders and dance team. A DJ will keep the energy high, and there will be raffle baskets, a 50/50 raffle, and a nacho dinner with a drink for $5.
The prep rally aims to build Tiger pride and excitement leading up to the Ephrata football game later that evening at 7 p.m., while celebrating the accomplishments of all fall athletes.
“Homecoming is one of the greatest traditions we have in this country — it brings small communities together,” Ephrata Football coach Patrick Mitchell said. “I love everything about it, and we’re going to use all the spirit and energy we build this week and take it into the game. Come out, support your Tigers, and we’ll see some fireworks on the field and at halftime.”

The Ephrata Chamber of Commerce challenged residents and businesses "to come together as a community, cheer on our Tigers, and make Ephrata shine in black & orange!" Here’s a look at some of the participation around town.
