Soap Lake plans Winterfest fun
SOAP LAKE – Families can enjoy a holiday outing on Saturday, Dec. 6, during the annual Winterfest celebration, sponsored by the Soap Lake Chamber of Commerce and supporting businesses and organizations.
Folks are encouraged to bundle up and go downtown for some small-town Christmas memories.
Escorted by Grant County Fire District No. 7, Santa and Mrs. Claus are expected to arrive between 4-5 p.m. at East Main Avenue and Marina Drive where they will have gifts available for kids ages 0-18.
Other tentatively scheduled activities include:
- Soap Lake Public Library coloring and other kids activities, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
- Holiday bazaar at the Soap Lake Senior/Community Center, 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
- Del Red Pub turkey bingo at noon.
- Masquers “Christmas With Little Women” play at the theater, 2 p.m.
- McKay’s coffee and hot cocoa at Lakeside Bistro, 3 p.m.
- Soap Lake High School senior class craft and fundraising table, 300 block of
East Main, 3-6 p.m. with musical performance at 3:30 p.m. - Tree lighting, 4:15 p.m.
