Poking above the rooflines on Grandview Heights in Ephrata, a cluster of pointy pine trees were outlined this morning against an orange, pre-dawn sunrise. The glow may be fleeting: the National Weather Service is forecasting mostly cloudy conditions with a 30% chance of rain today in the central Columbia Basin.
