They've fallen, and they need a pick-up ....
EPHRATA -- The City of Ephrata’s annual residential fall leaf pick-up is scheduled Nov. 17-20. During this week, residents may place securely bagged leaves along their curbsides for free collection on the day of their normal garbage schedule by Consolidated Disposal Services Inc.
The days and collection areas are:
— Monday, Nov. 17, northeast section of town;
— Tuesday, Nov. 18, southeast section of town;
— Wednesday, Nov. 19, Grandview Heights and northwest section of town;
— Thursday, Nov. 20, southwest section of town, Orchard View and Swanson Addition.
Also, residents may dispose of bagged leaves at the city shop, 900 A St. S.E., during regular business hours through Nov. 26. Only leaves will be accepted – no garden waste, garbage, or other solid waste.
Leaf pick-up has been provided as a community service for over 20 years. City officials say the tradition helps neighborhoods look better and keeps leaves out of city storm drains.
