EPHRATA — The Ephrata School District will again provide free meal service — both on-site and “grab-and-go” meals — for children this summer beginning Monday, June 15.

On-site meals will be available Monday through Thursday at Columbia Ridge Elementary and Ephrata High School.

Grab-and-go boxes will be available for pick-up twice a week at Ephrata Middle School and will feed children breakfast and lunch for seven days.

The meals are free to all children ages 18 years and younger, regardless of family income level.

Funding for the meal programs comes entirely from the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Summer Food Service Program administered through the state. It reimburses program operators like the Ephrata School District which provide no-cost, healthy meals and snacks to children and teens.

Columbia Ridge Elementary on-site meals: 60 H St. S.E.

Dates:                 June 15 to July 16
Breakfast:         8 - 9:15 a.m.
Lunch:              11:45 a.m. – 1 p.m.

Ephrata High School on-site meals: 333 Fourth Ave. N.W.

Dates:                 June 15 to July 2
Breakfast:         8 - 9:15 a.m.
Lunch:              11:45 a.m. – 1 p.m.

Food provided at both schools must be consumed on-site.

 ‘Grab-and-go’ meals: Ephrata Middle School, 384 A St. S.E.

Grab-and-go meals will be distributed via drive-up at Ephrata Middle School on Mondays and Thursdays between noon and 1:30 p.m. from June 15 to July 27.

Monday meal boxes will feed children for three days and Thursday boxes will feed children for four days. Parents must complete a sign-in sheet before taking delivery. Children do not need to be present for meal pick-up.

Ephrata schools food service employee Christine Uribe is shown packaging milk for distribution during the 2025 summer meals program. It will be available again this year for children beginning in mid-June.
