A theft was reported at 11:14 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 1, in the 400 block of Diamond Drive. Police were told that a male subject entered the MicroTel hotel, took coffee, a sports drink, and a bag of chips, then left. The man was contacted and trespassed from the property.
A theft was reported at 2:10 p.m. Thursday in the 1100 block of Basin Street S.W. Police were told a couple entered the Ephrata Safeway and a female subject shoplifted two pairs of sunglasses, then her male partner asked to return the glasses in order to get a cash refund from the store.
Police received a fraud report at 10:41 a.m. Thursday from a resident in the 400 block of Basin Street S.W. The complainant said his adult son was being scammed by an unspecified massage parlor. The man was advised to ask his son to call police if he felt like he was being scammed.
A report of suspicious circumstances was received at 7:27 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 30, in the 200 block of H Street N.E. The complainant said a male subject was trying to enter the residence, claiming he lived there. An officer contacted the man, who was described as intoxicated, and learned he lived on J Street N.E. The man was told not to drive.
While on patrol at 12:15 p.m. Monday, Sept. 28, in the 700 block of A Street S.E., an Ephrata police officer observed forced entry into a shed on the Splash Zone aquatic center property. Surveillance camera video showed a male subject breaking into the shed during the night. The suspect and a female companion were identified. Kolton Joseph Dana, 34, Soap Lake, was taken into custody at a location in Lakeview Park; Carmilita Lila Graham, 51, of Ephrata was arrested in the 700 block of Third Avenue N.E. in Ephrata. Both were booked into jail on suspicion of burglary.
A harassment/stalking incident was reported at 4:56 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 27. The complainant said she called a male acquaintance by phone and accused him of infidelity. The man later located the woman at a local carwash and followed her in his vehicle when she was leaving. The man allegedly drove around her at a high rate of speed, then swerved in and brake-checked her, nearly causing a collision. Officers located the suspect, identified as 31-year-old Duane Alan Bolton of Cashmere, who was arrested on suspicion of reckless endangerment (domestic violence) and booked into the Grant County Jail.
Police were notified at 10:53 p.m. last Friday, Sept. 25, of a 911 hangup originating from a location on Third Avenue S.E. Responding officers were told a male subject pushed a female acquaintance to the ground during a travel dispute. Benjamin Rushton, 20, Arlington, was arrested and booked into jail on suspicion of fourth-degree assault (domestic violence).
A disturbance was reported at 11:24 a.m. Friday Sept. 25, in the 2200 block of Basin Street S.W. Police were told a nude woman was standing in the street yelling at a male subject. When officers arrived, the woman allegedly tried to hit an officer. Sayda Villatoro Castro, 27, Quincy, was arrested and booked into jail on suspicion of violating a court-issued restraining order and third-degree assault of a law enforcement officer.
SOAP LAKE POLICE
A report of harassment was received at 6:34 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 27, in the first block of South Hemlock Street. The complainant said a male housemate who works nights will return home and go from room to room waking up all the other occupants in the residence. The woman said there was also a dispute over the custody of children. The incidents were under investigation.
A cold burglary was reported at 12:32 a.m. last Saturday, Sept. 26, at a residence on First Avenue S.E. The complainant said multiple items including a motorcycle had been stolen three days earlier. The incident was under investigation.
GRANT COUNTY SHERIFF
A domestic disturbance was reported at 5:39 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 1, at an unspecified location. Authorities were told that a couple were fighting outside a home. Deputies arrested Felix Colon, 22, Moses Lake, on suspicion of fourth-degree assault (domestic violence). He was booked into the Grant County Jail.
A domestic disturbance was reported at 3:07 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 29, in the 5100 block of Road U.5-NW, south of Quincy. A female caller told authorities that an altercation was underway while yelling could be heard in the background. Responding deputies arrested Lilyan Gaona, 18, Quincy, on suspicion of fourth-degree assault (domestic violence) and unlawful imprisonment (domestic violence). Gaona was booked into jail.
At 2:38 p.m. Tuesday, authorities were told a male subject appeared to be passed out in a vehicle parked near the intersection of Roads 5-NE and K-NE. A responding deputy allegedly saw the occupant smoking a possible narcotic while in the driver’s seat of the car. Angel Robert Stolsig, 25, Moses Lake, was arrested and booked into jail on suspicion of physical control of a motor vehicle while under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
A theft was reported at 11:25 a.m. Tuesday in the 9700 block of Road 5-NW, south of Quincy. The complainant said 100 metal T-posts had been stolen from his property about 20 minutes earlier. The posts had a total value of several hundred dollars. The incident was under investigation.
A domestic disturbance was reported at 9:28 p.m. Monday, Sept. 28, in the 5400 block of Crystal Springs Road NE. The complainant said a male acquaintance had choked her during an argument, restrained her, then took her pickup truck. Deputies later located the vehicle and detained the driver, who claimed he had purchased the truck. Manuel Martinez Jr., 29, Moses Lake, was arrested and booked into jail on suspicion of second-degree assault (domestic violence) and unlawful imprisonment (domestic violence).
A theft was reported at 2:02 a.m. Sunday, Sept. 27, in the 21000 block of Road 1-NW. The complainant said his 2024 Jeep Grand Cherokee had been stolen from the Gorge Amphitheater Campground.
A theft attempt was reported at 12:31 a.m. Sunday in the 21400 block of Road 1-NW. The complainant said a female subject had stolen his vehicle but got it stuck in the driveway. Deputies arrested Sarah Poole, 41, Surrey, British Columbia on suspicion of second-degree vehicle prowl, theft of a motor vehicle, first-degree criminal trespass, residential burglary, and resisting arrest. She was booked into jail.
A one-vehicle rollover wreck was reported at 11 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 26 in the 18100 block of Road B-NW, north of Ephrata. Deputies and Ephrata police helped extricate a female driver and a young boy from the vehicle. Neither occupant was injured.
A domestic disturbance was reported at 9:11 p.m. last Friday, Sept. 25, in the 1400 block of West Craig Street NE near Moses Lake. The complainant said he restrained a female family member after she hit him in the face, but then she ran away. Deputies determined the male subject was the primary aggressor in the incident and arrested Sean Michael Douglas Myers, 28, Montgomery, Texas on suspicion of second-degree assault (domestic violence). He was booked into jail.
