The following law enforcement reports were posted Wednesday, Dec. 31, 2025

 EPHRATA POLICE

A domestic disturbance was reported at 9:50 p.m. on Sunday, Dec. 28, in the 100 block of E Street N.E. Police were told that a male subject was involved in a physical altercation with a 36-year-old female acquaintance. Marc Bryan Sass, 39, Ephrata, was arrested on suspicion of fourth-degree assault (domestic violence) and booked into the Grant County Jail.

A vehicle collision was reported at 3:59 a.m. on Thursday, Dec. 25, in the 400 block of D Street S.W. Police were told that a motorist struck a parked car. The driver, 36-year-old Pedro Antonio Bacila Flores of Ephrata, was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence and booked into the county jail.

A trespassing incident was reported at 8:11 a.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 24, in the 1300 block of Nat Washington Way. Police were told that a female subject was observed in the Ephrata Walmart after previously being banned from the store. Leora Guery, 43, Moses Lake, was taken into custody and booked into jail and later charged with first-degree criminal trespass and second-degree burglary.

SOAP LAKE POLICE

A disturbance was reported at 7:14 p.m. Friday, Dec. 26, in the first block of North Division Street. Police were told that a male subject had broken an exterior window to an apartment, was screaming, and threatening to kill someone. When contacted by an officer, the suspect – identified as 43-year-old Malcom Conrad Engle Sr. of Moses Lake – allegedly became verbally aggressive and claimed he wanted to sleep in the apartment. An Ephrata police officer and Grant County sheriff’s deputy also responded to the location and Engle was ultimately taken into custody without incident. He was booked into the Grant County Jail on suspicion of second-degree malicious mischief and an outstanding court warrant.

Following a domestic disturbance reported on Wednesday, Dec. 24, police arrested Julius De Vonte Scott, 26, and booked him into jail on suspicion of fourth-degree assault (domestic violence) and third-degree malicious mischief (domestic violence). Other details regarding the incident were not immediately available.

GRANT COUNTY SHERIFF

A report of suspicious circumstances was received at 8:31 p.m. on Monday, Dec. 29. The complainant said her 10-year-old son had bruising on his legs and upper thighs after returning from his father’s residence. Earlier today (Dec. 31), Apolonio Leal Garcia, 42, Quincy, was arrested and booked into the Grant County Jail on suspicion of attempted third-degree assault of a child.

At 9:08 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 28, authorities were informed that a burglary suspect was observed attempting to hitchhike at the intersection of Parkway Drive and Longview Street NE near Moses Lake. A deputy detained the suspect, identified as 26-year-old Daniel John Tudor, in connection with a Moses Lake police investigation of a residential burglary reported on the evening of Dec. 23 in the 4100 block of Miller Street NE. Tudor was accused of entering the residence while the homeowner was away and taking a cell phone, jewelry, a knife, and a belt. Tudor was booked into jail on suspicion of residential burglary and second-degree theft.

A suspicious person was reported at 1:06 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 28, in the 17400 block of Tacoma Street in Beverly. Authorities were told that a male subject was walking on foot near the home of a protected person. Daniel Fernandez Barajas, 24, Mattawa, was arrested for violation of a court no-contact/protection order and booked into the county jail.

At 12:16 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 27, authorities were notified that a male subject was sending text messages and voicemails to a protected female acquaintance in the 4200 block of Airway Drive NE near Moses Lake. Deputies were at the residence when the man allegedly called again and left another voicemail. The suspect, identified as 25-year-old Tristan Lee Elliott of Moses Lake, was located and booked into jail on suspicion of stalking and violation of a court no-contact/protectionn order.

A domestic disturbance was reported at 12:25 p.m. Friday, Dec. 26, in the 19000 block of Road 3.2-SW near George. Authorities were told that a male subject had punched a pregnant female acquaintance in the face. Ryan L. Oleachea Ayala, 24, no town listed, was arrested and booked into jail on suspicion of fourth-degree assault (domestic violence).

A home invasion was reported at 8:47 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 25, in the vicinity of Roads 6-SE and L-SE near Moses Lake. A female subject in her 30s told authorities that a male acquaintance broke into her rural home and assaulted her, then drove away. A responding deputy observed the suspect, later identified as 62-year-old Paul David White of Moses Lake, stop and enter a home in the 10200 block of Road 6-SE. White allegedly refused to exit the residence, which was surrounded by deputies, Moses Lake police, and the Moses Lake Tactical Response Team. After several hours of failed negotiations, TRT officers entered the home and took White into custody. He was booked into jail on suspicion of first-degree burglary, third-degree malicious mischief, and fourth-degree assault 

A disturbance was reported at 5:50 p.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 24, in the 3100 block of Bow Street NE near Moses Lake. The complainant said she returned home where a male acquaintance possibly under the influence of drugs was “freaking out” and allegedly threatened to kill her. The woman went to a neighbor’s nearby house to call authorities. Deputies responded to the location on Bow Street and arrested Daylen Scott Callahan, 52, Moses Lake, on suspicion of felony harassment/threats to kill. He was booked into the county jail.

A domestic disturbance was reported at 10:20 a.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 24, in the 17900 block of Road A-NW near Ephrata. The complainant said his former girlfriend came to his residence and allegedly tried to push him and take his computer. The woman left the premises before deputies arrived, but returned while they were still on scene and was taken into custody. Nicole Ann Shenefelt, 28, Ephrata, was booked into jail on suspicion of fourth-degree assault (domestic violence).


The following law enforcement reports were posted Tuesday, Dec. 23, 2025:

EPHRATA POLICE

At 12:45 a.m. today (Tuesday, Dec. 23), police were notified of a 911 hangup call in which a male and female could allegedly be heard arguing. Contact was made with a female subject who said the call was accidental. Officers determined there was cause to respond to a residence in the 300 block of Sixth Avenue S.W. A male subject in a detached shop initially refused to exit the building. After a warrant was obtained, the man, identified as 42-year-old Eric Douglas Fenn of Ephrata, was arrested and booked into the Grant County Jail on suspicion of obstructing a law enforcement officer and an outstanding Grant County District Court warrant.

While assisting in response to a domestic assault reported at 3:43 p.m. Friday, Dec. 19, at the Wagon Wheel Trailer Park in the 17000 block of Road A-NW, a possible wanted subject was observed in a vehicle driving away from the scene. Ephrata and Soap Lake officers later located the vehicle and determined that a male passenger was wanted on outstanding Grant County District Court warrants. Anthony E. Snider, 36, Soap Lake, was taken into custody and booked into the county jail.

SOAP LAKE POLICE

At 3:29 p.m. Monday, an officer observed a male subject previously arrested for domestic assault in the vicinity of the alleged victim’s residence in the 100 block of North Division Street. Kyle Schulz, 41, Soap Lake, was arrested for violation of a court no-contact order and booked into the Grant County Jail.

Keaton Adams, 35, Soap Lake, was cited for driving with a suspended license following a traffic stop at 11:18 a.m. Monday near the intersection of West Main Avenue and South Hemlock Street.

A malicious mischief incident was reported at 5:06 p.m. Sunday in the 100 block of North Ash Street. The complainant said a 15-year-old boy threw a football at a vehicle windshield, causing a chip, then became aggressive before fleeing the area prior to an officer’s arrival. The complainant declined to press criminal charges, but asked for the incident to be documented.   

A disturbance was reported at 10:21 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 18, in the 200 block of Sixth Avenue S.E. The complainant said a 28-year-old family member was “throwing a fit” in the kitchen. An officer and a Grant County sheriff’s deputy responded, they talked to the involved individuals, and determined no crime had occurred.

A missing person was reported at 7:07 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 18, in the 400 block of Lakemore Drive. Police were told that a 13-year-old boy had run away by jumping out his bedroom window. A family member advised she was going to check with the boy’s school and her brother’s residence. She later notified police that the boy was located at the brother’s home.

GRANT COUNTY SHERIFF

A domestic disturbance was reported at 11:17 p.m. Monday in the 1100 block of Arlington Drive NE near Moses Lake. Deputies were told that a female subject forced her way into an in-law’s home and shoved a male family member who repeatedly told her that she was not welcome at the residence. The woman left but was later located at a residence on South Cougar Drive. Ericka Michelle Brown, 30, Moses Lake, was arrested and booked into the Grant County Jail on suspicion of first-degree residential burglary (domestic violence) and fourth-degree assault (domestic violence).  

At 8:25 p.m. Monday, MACC dispatchers received a 911 hangup call in which a person could be heard screaming “Don’t (expletive) kill me.” Deputies and other law enforcement responded to a trailer in the 1500 block of Road T-NE near Moses Lake. According to the report, a male and female couple, each identifying as transgender, were separating and began arguing over who would have custody of a pet cat. The suspect allegedly struck the victim in the head with a cat “tree” causing a deep bleeding wound. Jose A. Martinez Vela, 26, Moses Lake, was arrested on suspicion of second-degree assault (domestic violence) and booked into the county jail.

At 1:33 a.m. Sunday, area law enforcement officers located a wanted subject at a residence in the 13700 block of Dodson Road NW. Nicholas Aaron Boday, 33, Ephrata, was taken into custody and booked into jail on a warrant for third-degree assault (domestic violence) and third-degree malicious mischief (domestic violence). According to court documents and sheriff’s reports, Boday allegedly attacked a 36-year-old female acquaintance during a domestic dispute Friday afternoon, Dec. 19, at the Wagon Wheel Trailer Park in the 17900 block of Road A-NW. Boday was accused of putting the woman in a headlock, head-butting her in the face, smashing a mirror, and slashing the front tires of a vehicle before fleeing the scene.

An animal attack was reported at 5:06 p.m. Saturday in the 2000 block of Road J.3-NW near Quincy. Authorities were told that a 23-month-old girl had been bitten on the face by a dog during a family gathering at a relative’s home. The child was initially taken to Quincy Valley Medical Center for medical care, then transferred to another larger hospital. A report will be submitted to the Grant County Sheriff’s Office animal control division for review.

A disturbance was reported at 2:48 p.m. Saturday in the 4900 block of Road L.9-NE near Moses Lake. The complainant said her dog was injured after being shot by a male neighbor. A responding deputy said he observed a male subject, later identified as 46-year-old Justin Webb Bashaw of Moses Lake, carrying a lever-action .22-caliber rifle that he allegedly tried to conceal at the location. When questioned, Bashaw reportedly denied shooting the dog, saying another man at the property may have done it. It was determined that Bashaw had prior felony convictions which barred him from having a firearm. He was taken into custody for unlawful possession of a firearm and booked into the county jail.

A domestic disturbance was reported at 5:40 p.m. last Friday, Dec. 19, in the 6100 block of Dodson Road NW. The reporting party told authorities that a female family member was intoxicated and allegedly acting in a “physical” manner. Deputies arrested Silvia Valencia Qualls, 56, Ephrata, on suspicion of fourth-degree assault (domestic violence) and booked her into jail.

Shortly before 8 a.m. on Thursday, Dec. 18, deputies served a search warrant at a residence in the 17000 block of Lower Crab Creek Road near Beverly. They allegedly located more than 500 feet of electrical wire, 68 containers of chemicals believed to be stolen, a handgun that was reported stolen in 2021, and a small amount of drugs. Arrested on suspicion of first-degree possession of stolen property were Diego Huerta Cabrera, 34, Quincy; Jesus Delacruz Botello, 46, Desert Aire; and Arnold Tapia Gonzalez, 41, Mattawa. Tapia Gonzalez was also accused of possession of a stolen firearm. All three were booked into the county jail. The search stemmed from a Dec. 12 incident in which deputies stopped a pickup truck and recovered copper wire believed to have been stolen from irrigation circles near Royal City.


The following law enforcement reports were posted Friday, Dec. 19, 2025:

EPHRATA POLICE

A disturbance was reported at 6:01 p.m. Monday, Dec. 15, in the 1100 block of Basin Street S.W. Police said a male subject was being disruptive at the Ephrata Safeway store, then nearly caused a vehicle collision when he fled across Basin Street. Randy L. Stewart, 36, Ephrata, was arrested on suspicion of disorderly conduct and booked into the Grant County Jail.

At 1:02 a.m. Monday, Dec. 15, police were notified that a passenger car became stuck on the railroad tracks near the intersection of Alder Street and Third Avenue S.W. A Grant County sheriff’s deputy responded and contacted a 25-year-old Moses Lake man whose 2011 Toyota SUV had become disabled. Police called for a tow truck that removed the vehicle from the tracks.

At 11:06 a.m. on Saturday, Dec. 13, police were notified of a domestic disturbance that occurred in a vehicle on State Route 282 near Nat Washington Way. The suspect, identified as 25-year-old Sergio Angel Villafana of Ephrata, reportedly fled the scene but was later located at his residence by officers who arrested him on suspicion of fourth-degree assault (domestic violence). Villafana was released from the Grant County Jail on Dec. 14, but re-arrested again around 6:15 a.m. on Dec. 15 in the 1700 block of C Street S.W. for allegedly violating a court protection order. He was booked back into the county jail.

A theft was reported at 8:43 p.m. last Thursday in the 600 block of Basin Street N.W. Police were told that a man and woman were seen stealing items from the Ephrata Senior Center Thrift Store, then driving away in a black Honda vehicle toward Soap Lake. A license plate number was obtained and Soap Lake police and Grant County sheriff’s deputies located the vehicle and took the couple into custody. Tobias Emilo Quintana Godinez, 29, Moses Lake, and Lacie Sharai Upshaw, 36, Coulee City, were both booked into the county jail on suspicion of third-degree theft. Upshaw was also wanted on multiple outstanding district court warrants.

SOAP LAKE POLICE

A disturbance was reported at 4:36 a.m. Tuesday at a residence in Lakeview Park. Officers and Grant County sheriff’s deputies responded and contacted a male subject who said he been given permission by his aunt to stay at the residence. The subject said he was attempting to enter through a window when he was struck in the back of the head and grabbed by another male at the location. Statements were taken from the two subjects and the incident remained under investigation.

A report of harassment was received at 4:25 p.m. Monday near the intersection of First Avenue N.W. and Hemlock Street. Police were told that a female subject was threatening to kill the reporting party. An officer searched the area but was unable to locate the suspect or her vehicle.

The following individuals were cited for driving with suspended licenses following traffic stops at various locations over the past week: Kimberly Nelson, 45, Marlin; Lluvia Echevarria, 45, Soap Lake; Michael Korsen, no age listed, Quincy; Kimberly Hughes, 37, Moses Lake; Carlos Camarena, 30, Ephrata; Kolby Brown, 31, Moses Lake.

GRANT COUNTY SHERIFF

A domestic disturbance was reported at 11:45 a.m. Wednesday in the 4000 block of Ottmar Road NE near Moses Lake. The complainant said a former boyfriend with whom she shares a child came to her apartment and an argument ensued. The woman alleged that she was shoved and the man kicked in a door and destroyed Christmas gifts before leaving in her car. Deputies located the suspect, 31-year-old Adam R. Matheson of Moses Lake, and booked him into the Grant County Jail. Matheson faces charges of residential burglary (domestic violence) and third-degree malicious mischief (domestic violence). 

A report of threats was received at 5:20 p.m. Tuesday in the 12600 block of Road C.3-NW near Ephrata. Authorities were told that a male subject threatened to kill a female relative during an argument. Deputies arrested Dion Landry Brown, 38, Ephrata, on suspicion of felony harassment/threats to kill. He was booked into the county jail.

A domestic disturbance was reported at 4:48 p.m. Tuesday in the 4100 block of Dunn Street NE near Moses Lake. Police were told that a couple were involved in an argument with other family members. Deputies determined the man and woman were both wanted on outstanding court warrants and that the male subject was also in violation of a court no-contact order. The male subject allegedly ran inside a residence and refused to exit until a K-9 unit arrived on scene and barked. The man then surrendered without incident. Andrea M. Fish, 20, and Eliot C. Widmer, 24, both of Moses Lake, were booked into jail on the court warrants and Widmer was also arrested for violation of a court protection order and obstructing a law enforcement officer.

 At 11:23 p.m. on Sunday, Dec. 14, authorities were notified of a possible hit-and-run traffic incident with the suspect vehicle heading toward George. Deputies located a female driver near the intersection of Beverly Burke Road and the South Frontage Road of Interstate 90. Lucia Garcia Gutierrez, 33, no town listed, was on suspicion of driving under the influence and reckless endangerment for having a 2-year-old child in the vehicle. Garcia was booked into jail and state Child Protective Services was notified.

While on patrol at 9:26 p.m. on Sunday, Dec. 14, a deputy stopped a vehicle with no headlights and expired license tabs near the intersection of North Stratford Road and West Knolls Vista Drive. The driver, 22-year-old Santiago Valdovinos of Moses Lake, was arrested and booked into jail on suspicion of driving under the influence and carrying a concealed handgun without a valid permit. The 2015 Ford Mustang he was driving was also seized pending a court-issued search warrant.

 A domestic disturbance was reported at 5:18 a.m. on Sunday, Dec. 14, in the 100 block of Carswell Drive NE near Moses Lake. The complainant told authorities that a 57-year-old female relative was being punched by a male acquaintance. Deputies arrested Modesto Valencia Aguilar, 41, Moses Lake, on suspicion of fourth-degree assault (domestic violence) and booked him into jail.

 A domestic disturbance was reported at 7:17 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 13, in the 1300 block of State Route 28 West near Ephrata. Authorities were told that a male family member was intoxicated and wanted to hit other people. Deputies determined no assault occurred but said the suspect, 34-year-old Rene Fuentes Pineda of Ephrata, was in violation of two court no-contact orders. He was taken into custody and booked into jail.

 A theft was reported at 2:53 p.m. last Friday, Dec. 13, in the 400 block of Road 19-NE near Soap Lake. The complainant said a pickup truck and recreational vehicle on the property had been broken into and items were missing. No suspects were immediately identified.

A report of threats was received at 10:24 a.m. last Thursday, Dec. 12, in the 4500 block of Road Q-SW near Quincy. A 42-year-old woman told authorities that her ex-partner had tried to run over her current boyfriend with a vehicle in George the previous evening, and allegedly threatened to kill them both. Amadeo Coronel Vera, 48, Quincy, was arrested and booked into jail on suspicion of felony harassment/threats to kill (two counts).

A theft was reported at 9:07 a.m. last Thursday, Dec. 12, in the 8100 block of Road 9.3-SW near Royal City. The complainant said electrical wire and motor leads had been stolen overnight from an irrigation circle unit. The loss was estimated at $10,000. No suspects were immediately identified.

EPHRATA POLICE

Information was not available from the department regarding police activity over the past week.

SOAP LAKE POLICE

In separate incidents this morning (Friday, Dec. 12), Soap Lake police arrested two individuals: 41-year-old Kyle Richard Schulz on suspicion of fourth-degree assault (domestic violence) and 66-year-old Gregory Walter Ewing on a state Department of Corrections detention warrant. Additional information regarding the incidents was not immediately available. Both were booked into the Grant County Jail.

While on traffic patrol at 8 a.m. Wednesday near the intersection of Sixth Avenue S.E. and Third Place S.E., an officer observed a known male motorist park outside a residence and go inside the house. The officer determined the man was driving with a suspended license, and a report will be submitted to the Grant County Prosecutor’s Office for consideration of a misdemeanor criminal charge.

At 12:33 p.m. Monday, police responded to a public service request from Soap Lake High School regarding a student who had 15 unexcused absences during the current school year. School officials asked if law enforcement could conduct a welfare check on the student. An officer contacted the boy’s mother, who advised her son was struggling with mental health issues and did not want to go to school.

While on patrol at 1:42 a.m. on Friday, Dec. 5, an officer observed a dog running at large near the intersection of North Division Street and East Main Avenue. The officer recognized the animal from previous encounters with its owner, identified as a 44-year-old Soap Lake woman. She was mailed a municipal citation for dog being at large/third offense or more. 

Jaison Zeron Lara, 27, Soap Lake, was cited for driving with a suspended license and other infractions following a traffic stop at 2:57 p.m. last Thursday, Dec. 4, in the 300 block of Ephrata Avenue NW.

At 11:53 a.m. last Thursday, Dec. 4, an officer stood by at Soap Lake High School during a meeting between the principal and a 15-year-old female student who faced suspension for having marijuana and a pipe on her person while on school property. The contraband was seized and a report will possibly be submitted to the county prosecutor’s office for consideration of a misdemeanor criminal charge.

GRANT COUNTY SHERIFF

Authorities received a 911 hangup call at 4:33 a.m. Tuesday and deputies were dispatched to a residence in the 4800 block of Airway Drive NE near Moses Lake. They were told that a male subject was upset at his sister and broke a door window and flower pots. Another female family member then allegedly punched the male subject. David Nichols, 19, Moses Lake, was arrested on suspicion of third-degree malicious mischief (domestic violence) and Nichole Pointer, 36, Moses Lake, was arrested for fourth-degree assault (domestic violence). Both were booked into the Grant County Jail.

At 6:30 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 7, authorities were notified that a 77-year-old woman from the Wilson Creek area who reportedly suffers from mental illness had been making random comments to a family member before driving away. Deputies later located the woman at a female relative’s home near Soap Lake. There, the woman allegedly punched the relative in the chest, then kicked a deputy three times while being taken into custody. The woman was booked into jail on suspicion of fourth-degree assault (domestic violence) and third-degree assault of a law enforcement officer. Soap Lake police also responded to the location.

While on patrol around 10:15 a.m. Sunday, a deputy attempted a traffic stop of a speeding vehicle in the 4000 block of State Route 26 East near Othello. The female driver allegedly failed to pull over immediately, resulting in a short pursuit. Reynalda Basurto Lopez, 21, Royal City, was arrested and booked into jail on suspicion of driving under the influence and felony eluding.

A domestic disturbance was reported at 4:20 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 6, in the 4800 block of Airway Drive NE near Moses Lake. Authorities were told that an intoxicated male subject became angry when a domestic partner turned down loud music. The man allegedly displayed a knife and threatened to kill the woman. Her 12-year-old son defended his mother and was chased out of the residence by the man, who allegedly grabbed and bit him on the ear before the boy managed to escape. Marlon Jesus Cardenas Perez, 29, Moses Lake, was taken into custody, booked into jail, and subsequently charged with fourth-degree assault and felony harassment/threats to kill.

Following an investigation, deputies arrested Christopher T. Mandeville, 26, Warden, on a superior court warrant for first-degree rape of a child and he was booked into jail on Friday, Dec. 5. Mandeville was accused of sexually assaulting a minor female in late 2022 while living on her family’s property near Soap Lake. Mandeville denied the allegations when interviewed earlier this year by detectives. He pled not guilty during an initial court appearance Monday and a trial is currently scheduled for Jan. 22, 2026.

Authorities were notified at 7 a.m. last Friday, Dec. 5, of a domestic disturbance in the 13000 block of Road M-SE near Moses Lake. The reporting party said she was pregnant and had been assaulted by the child’s father, who allegedly bit her on the hand and pushed her to the ground. Bryan Galvan Gutierrez, 25, Moses Lake, was arrested on suspicion of fourth-degree assault (domestic violence) and booked into jail.


The following reports were posted Tuesday, Dec. 2, 2025

 EPHRATA POLICE

A domestic disturbance was reported at 10:30 a.m. Saturday in the 800 block of J Street S.E. Officers located a 50-year-old woman who said she fled her residence after a male family member allegedly kicked her in the side, poured a can of soda on her, punched a hole in a closet door, and threatened to kill her and her 22-year-old son. Jason Lee Graham, 47, Ephrata, was arrested and booked into the Grant County Jail on suspicion of fourth-degree assault (domestic violence), third-degree malicious mischief (domestic violence), and two counts of felony harassment/threats to kill. Soap Lake police and Grant County sheriff’s deputies also responded to the incident.

At 8:55 p.m. last Wednesday, Nov. 26, officers responded to a theft report in the 1300 block of Nat Washington Way. They were told that a female subject had allegedly shoplifted merchandise from the Ephrata Walmart after previously being trespassed from the property. Leona Louise Carver, 38, Soap Lake, was arrested and booked into jail on suspicion of second-degree burglary, third-degree theft, and resisting arrest.

SOAP LAKE POLICE

A domestic disturbance was reported at 10:31 a.m. Monday in the 100 block of Division Street. Officers responded to a residence and arrested Natanel Ramirez-Hernandez, 24, Soap Lake, on suspicion of fourth-degree assault (domestic violence). He was booked into the Grant County Jail. Details regarding the nature of the incident and the alleged victim were not disclosed.

A trespassing incident was reported at 1:09 p.m. Saturday at the south end of Soap Lake between the sand dunes and Boy Scout camp. An officer contacted a woman and her juvenile son, who was riding a motorcycle in the area. They were advised that riding was not allowed in the location and the motorcycle needed a valid ORV sticker.

A trespassing incident was reported at 5:21 p.m. Friday in the first block of South Juniper Street. An officer contacted subjects who said they were retrieving their belongings from a residence owned by another individual. A male subject said he had gotten a key to the property from the owner. The subjects gathered their items and then gave the house key to the officer.

While on patrol at 2:42 p.m. last Thursday, Nov. 27, an officer observed a wanted person walking in the vicinity of South Aster Street and Fourth Place S.E. Lisa Ann Valdez, 48, Soap Lake, was taken into custody and booked into jail on a state Department of Corrections detention warrant and three outstanding district court warrants.

Jessie Rodriguez, 36, Moses Lake, was cited for driving with a suspended license following a traffic stop at 12:18 p.m. last Thursday, Nov. 27, near the intersection of South Aster Street and Sixth Avenue S.E.

A disturbance was reported at 2:57 p.m. Monday at an unspecified rural location. Authorities were told that a male subject was on the property “throwing and breaking stuff.” Deputies located the suspect, identified as 20-year-old Jaedin Joseph Cardenas, no town listed, who was arrested on suspicion of third-degree malicious mischief and booked into the Grant County Jail.

A domestic disturbance was reported at 11:45 p.m. Sunday in the 400 block of Biggs Drive NE near Moses Lake. Dispatch personnel said they received an open line phone call in which a male and female subject could be heard arguing. Responding deputies determined one of the occupants at the residence, 30-year-old Noe Alvarez Jr. of Moses Lake, was wanted on a state Department of Corrections detention warrant. He was taken into custody and booked into jail.

A domestic disturbance was reported at 10:20 a.m. Sunday in the 1200 block of Larson Boulevard near Moses Lake. Deputies were told that a male subject had punched, bit, and choked a female acquaintance until she nearly passed out. Carlos Rivera, 19, Moses Lake, was arrested and booked into jail on suspicion of second-degree assault (domestic violence).

At 3:50 a.m. Sunday, deputies assisted Moses Lake police in searching for an unnamed suspect who allegedly entered a home in the 300 block of Road H-NE and robbed the occupants at gunpoint. The area was searched by several law enforcement units, but they were unable to locate the suspect who fled the scene in a Jeep vehicle.

While on patrol at 2 a.m. Sunday, a deputy encountered a vehicle traveling southbound at a high rate of speed on State Route 281 about four miles south of Quincy. Following a traffic stop, the deputy said open beer bottles were observed inside the vehicle and there was a strong odor of intoxicants. The driver, 44-year-old Gladis Zamora Jurado of Mattawa, was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence.

While on patrol at 2 a.m. Sunday on Broadway Avenue near Moses Lake, a deputy stopped a vehicle with a defective headlamp and expired license tabs and determined that the driver appeared to be intoxicated. Jonathan David Villanueva, 30, Moses Lake, was arrested and booked into jail on suspicion of driving under the influence, alcohol-ignition interlock violation, and driving with a suspended license.

A domestic disturbance was reported at 12:05 a.m. Sunday in the 21000 block of Road 24.7-SW near Mattawa. The complainant said her parents were arguing and that her father allegedly hit her and her brother. Ernesto Abundez Rivera, 46, Mattawa, was arrested and booked into jail on suspicion of fourth-degree assault (domestic violence).

A theft was reported at noon Saturday in the 4500 block of Grape Drive NE near Moses Lake. The complainant said two individuals who parked a van in front of her home were observed on surveillance video stealing two packages that had been delivered and left on her porch. The stolen items included two Yoto audiobook players and a pair of Sony headphones. The loss was estimated at $380.

A domestic disturbance was reported at 11:55 a.m. last Thursday, Nov. 27, in the 23000 block of Road O-SW near Mattawa. The complainant said her son hit her in the chest during an argument. Andres Montes Carino, 26, Mattawa, was arrested and booked into jail on suspicion of fourth-degree assault (domestic violence) and two outstanding out-of-county warrants.

A report of suspicious circumstances was received at 10:09 p.m. last Wednesday, Nov. 26, in the 23000 block of Road 9.8-NW near Quincy. The complainant notified authorities that a male subject who appeared to be intoxicated had knocked on his door and requested a ride after explaining he had rolled his vehicle. Deputies responded to the residence and took the driver, identified as Jorge Antonio Villanueva, into custody. Villanueva was initially transported by ambulance to Quincy Valley Hospital for a medical evaluation and blood draw, then cleared and booked into jail on suspicion of driving under the influence.

A domestic disturbance was reported at 10:28 a.m. last Wednesday, Nov. 26, in the 9700 block of Stone Road NE near Moses Lake. The complainant said her husband was intoxicated and started a verbal argument around 2 a.m. which escalated when he allegedly grabbed and held her down on a bed, then locked her and himself in a bathroom to prevent her from leaving. The suspect later left the residence, but was located by deputies shortly before 10 a.m. on Nov. 27. Marco Antonio Castanon Fernandez, 43, Moses Lake, was arrested and booked into jail on suspicion of fourth-degree assault (domestic violence) and unlawful imprisonment (domestic violence).
