Law Enforcement Reports

The following law enforcement reports were posted Friday, April 24, 2026:

EPHRATA POLICE

A hit-and-run incident involving property damage was reported at 4:15 p.m. Wednesday, April 22, in the 100 block of Basin Street S.W. The complaint said her parked vehicle was struck by a truck towing a trailer. The unknown driver left the scene without contacting anyone about the collision. Police obtained area security video footage and documented the vehicle, but the driver remained unidentified.

A fraud incident was reported at 7:02 p.m. Tuesday, April 21, in the 1100 block of Basin Street S.W. Police were told that an elderly woman at the Ephrata Safeway tried to pay for a gasoline purchase with a fake $100 bill. When questioned, the woman said the bill had been in her wallet for the past six months and was originally obtained from a bank. Police and store personnel concluded there was no criminal intent on the woman’s part.

A verbal disturbance was reported at 4:11 p.m. Tuesday, April 21, at an unspecified residential location. Police were told that a male juvenile became enraged — yelling at family members and punching a carbboard box — after his internet privileges were taken away by his mother. The boy insulted officers when they arrived on scene and he was temporarily detained in handcuffs before eventually calming down. No criminal conduct was reported, and the boy and his mother were working with Grant County Renew on behavioral improvements.

A report of unusual circumstances was received at 2:58 p.m. Tuesday, April 21, at a residence on E Street S.E. The complainant said she returned home and found that the shutters and siding on her house had been removed. A contractor left a note on the door explaining they had come to the wrong address. Officers assisted the homeowner in contacting the contractor.

A theft attempt was reported at 11:54 a.m. Tuesday, April 21, in the 1300 block of Nat Washington Way. Personnel at the Ephrata Walmart told police that they confronted a male subject who tried to leave the store without paying for a compact 4-pound sledge hammer concealed in his pants. The hammer — observed falling out of the man’s trousers several times before his attempted exit — was returned. An officer contacted the suspect during a nearby traffic stop. Both the suspect and the vehicle driver were trespassed from the store and a report will be submitted to the Grant County Prosecutor’s Office for consideration of criminal charges.

A domestic disturbance was reported at 7:25 a.m. Tuesday, April 21, in the 300 block of E Street N.E. Police were told that a male subject threw a box of plastic bags at a female family member’s head and pulled another family member’s hair. Justin Alexzander Davis, 21, Ephrata, was arrested and booked into the Grant County Jail on suspicion of two counts of fourth-degree assault (domestic violence).

A disturbance was reported at 10:44 p.m. Saturday, April 18, in the 200 block of C Street S.E. The complainant said his head was injured during a physical altercation with a roomate who was moving out. The complainant refused treatment by emergency responders, but later went to Columbia Basin Hospital. The roommate left the premises prior to the arrival of officers.

While on patrol at 10:11 p.m. on Saturday, April 18, officers observed a wanted subject walking along Basin Street. Randy L. Stewart, 36, Ephrata, was taken into custody on an outstanding district court warrant and booked into the county jail.

A disturbance was reported at 7:33 p.m. Saturday, April 18, in the 200 block of Nat Washington Way. Police were told that a patient at Columbia Basin Hospital had gotten out of restraints and ripped out his IV. An officer helped restrain the patient, who was given sedation medication, and placed back into his restraints.

A two-vehicle, non-injury collision was reported at 3:03 p.m. Friday, April 17, near the intersection of C Street and Third Avenue N.W. Police said Amanda L. Hall, 46, Ephrata, was southbound on C Street and slowed for a pedestrian when her 2007 Dodge Ram 1500 pickup was struck in the back by a 2009 Toyota Camry driven by Pamela A. Roberson, 58, Ephrata.

SOAP LAKE POLICE

A welfare check was requested at 8:28 p.m. Monday, April 20 regarding an elderly male observed at a location on Second Avenue S.W. An officer contacted the man, who was lying inside a van while a leashed dog was outside tied to the van. The man informed the officer that he was okay.

A report of suspicious circumstances was received at 1:28 p.m. Sunday, April 19 at an unspecified location. The reporting party said an unknown vehicle had been repeatedly driving around their property. An officer located the vehicle and talked to the driver, who said he and his wife are local residents who were in the area providing water to homeless individuals.

 While on patrol at 11:20 a.m. Sunday, April 19, an officer located a vehicle without a rear license plate in the 300 block of North Daisy Street. The officer observed two male subjects around the vehicle, a Mazda Protégé DX which had been reported stolen out of Pasco. The two suspects, 43-year-old David R. Arnold of Kennewick and 18-year-old Dana Lewis Seevers Jr. of Pendleton, Oregon, were taken into custody on suspicion of possession of a stolen vehicle and booked into the Grant County Jail.

At 10:11 p.m. on Saturday, April 18, a Soap Lake officer traveling in Ephrata was notified that a male subject wanted on an outstanding court warrant was observed walking along Basin Street. The officer assisted Ephrata police in detaining the male suspect, who was booked into the county jail.

A welfare check was requested at 9:16 p.m. Saturday, April 18. An officer responded to the first block of East Main Avenue and located an infirm male subject who had fallen out of his vehicle. The man was in distress and unable to move after being trapped between the vehicle door and his walker, which was lodged in the door. The officer, assisted by Ephrata police, helped extricate the man and place him on a stretcher for transport by emergency medical personnel.

A domestic disturbance was reportd at 7:41 p.m. Saturday, April 18, in the 700 block of East Main Avenue. An officer contacted two subjects who had multiple cuts from a fight with a suspect who left the scene earlier and was not immediately located. A report was submitted to the Grant County Prosecutor’s Office for consideration of criminal charges.

GRANT COUNTY SHERIFF

A two-vehicle, non-injury collision was reported at 9:23 a.m. Wednesday, April 22 in the 400 block of South Frontage Road West in George. Authorities were advised that a garbage truck and a semi truck had collided at a local truck stop and the garbage truck was blocking a travel lane. The vehicles were cleared and no citations or infractions were issued.

A malicious mischief incident was reported at 6:55 p.m. Tuesday, April 21 in the 5200 block of Road R-NE near Moses Lake. The complainant said her 17-year-old daughter had broken a window in her vehicle and put dirt in the gas tank. Charges were pending against the teen.

Authorities were notified at 4:46 p.m. Tuesday, April 21, that an unoccupied vehicle was observed upside down in a shallow irrigation canal at a rural location between Roads 1.5-SW and 2-NW near George. Deputies went to the residence of the vehicle’s registered owner, who allegedly admitted he had crashed because he was drunk. Ceferino Arcos Lopez, 29, George, was taken into custody on suspicion of driving under the influence and booked into the Grant County Jail.

A domestic disturbance was reported at 12:17 p.m. on Tuesday, April 21 in the 16000 block of Stratford Road NE north of Moses Lake. A female subject told authorities that she was in her boyfriend’s truck and he was “driving crazy” while they had been arguing. Deputies located the parties and determined the female had initiated physical contact. Eva Arias-Moreno, 19, Moses Lake, was arrested and booked into jail on suspicion of fourth-degree assault (domestic violence).

A domestic disturbance was reported at 10:20 a.m. Sunday, April 19, in the 4400 block of Kathy Drive NE near Moses Lake. Authorities were told that a male subject was observed repeatedly striking a female acquaintance in the head, then walking toward nearby Broad Street while the woman fled into a residence. A man matching the suspect’s description was located by deputies and allegedly refused commands, pulled a red bandana over his face, and kept his hands at his waist. The suspect, later identified as 44-year-old Nicolas Anthony Brice of Moses Lake, allegedly became confrontational, fighting with deputies and getting bit by a K-9 dog before being subdued. When taken into custody, deputies said Brice had two BB guns — with orange safety markings removed — hidden in his waistband. Brice was initially transported to Samaritan Hospital for medical treatment that included 11 stitches, then booked into the county jail on suspicion of fourth-degree assault (domestic violence), obstructing a law enforcement officer, and resisting arrest. Deputies also contacted the female subject, who was observed with extensive bruising on her face and arms, but she refused to talk to them.


The following law enforcement reports were posted Friday, April 17, 2026:

EPHRATA POLICE

At 3:55 a.m. Thursday, April 16, police responded to a one-vehicle collision in the 2000 block of Basin Street S.W. Officers located a 2016 Chevrolet Silverado pickup which left the roadway and struck a road sign and a fire hydrant. The driver, 22-year-old Juan Carlos Soriano Granados of Quincy, was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence and booked into the Grant County Jail.

A theft was reported at 2:18 p.m. Wednesday, April 15, in the 400 block of Basin Street N.W. The complainant said a travel hitch had been stolen overnight from a vehicle. The hitch was described as a chrome skull with glowing red eyes.

While on patrol at 1:03 a.m. Wednesday, April 15, an officer found a vehicle with a male subject asleep in the driver’s seat stopped in a travel lane at the intersection of A Street S.E. and Nat Washington Way. The driver, 33-year-old Colton J. Rains of Ephrata, was cited on suspicion of driving under the influence and released to the custody of a friend.

A domestic disturbance was reported at 6:41 p.m. Monday, April 13, in the 300 block of Fourth Avenue S.E. Police were told that a 16-year-old Ephrata boy had assaulted a male family member, had threatened to kill him, and was throwing objects. The teen was arrested on suspicion of fourth-degree assault (domestic violence), third-degree malicious mischief (domestic violence), and harassment/threats to kill (domestic violence).

A child welfare check was requested at 9:28 a.m. Sunday, April 12. The complainant said she observed two young children sitting with their backs outside an exterior window sill at a second-story apartment in the 300 block of E Street N.E. An officer contacted the father of the children and a referral was made to state Child Protective Services.

A disturbance was reported at 1:37 p.m. on Saturday, April 11, in the 300 block of Basin Street S.W. Police were told that a male subject had confronted a 43-year-old Ephrata man who was paraplegic and in a wheelchair over an unspecified issue. The alleged victim displayed a pocketknife and told the suspect to stay back. The suspect, later identified as Ryan McKale Newman, 39, Ephrata, reportedly grabbed the 43-year-old and pulled him from his wheelchair to the ground. Newman was arrested on suspicion of fourth-degree assault and booked into the county jail. The victim sustained a bloody nose during the incident, the report stated.

At 12:06 p.m. on Saturday, April 11, police located a wanted subject near the intersection of Basin Street and Fourth Avenue N.W. Randy L. Stewart, 36, Ephrata, was arrested on outstanding district court warrants and booked into the county jail.

SOAP LAKE POLICE

A malicious mischief incident was reported at 10:36 a.m. Tuesday, April 14, in the 800 block of Second Avenue N.E. The complainant said a passenger-side window on her vehicle had been damaged, possibly by a BB gun. No suspects were identified.

At 12:52 p.m. Monday, April 13, police responded to a request for assistance at Smokiam-East Beach Park. A caseworker from Adult Protective Services was trying to provide help to a female subject who refused any aid. The woman later said she needed a battery jump start for her vehicle, which an officer provided. The woman then drove away.

A disturbance was reported at 6:39 p.m. at Smokiam-East Beach Park. Police were told that a male subject was yelling at a female. A responding officer was advised that the two individuals had been drinking, the woman was vomiting, and the man was on the ground crying. There was no report that a crime had occurred.

A disturbance was reported at 5:22 p.m. on Friday, April 10. Police were told that a male subject was walking up and down Fourth Avenue S.E., yelling and screaming. Mental health personnel were on the scene, and an officer responded to the location to assist with the irate man.

A trespassing incident was reported at 5:02 p.m. on Thursday, April 9. Police were told that juveniles were observed on top of a railroad trestle crossing State Route 17 a few miles south of Soap Lake. An officer contacted the children, who had their bicycles on the trestle, and warned them to stay off the property.

While on patrol at 7:24 a.m. on Thursday, April 9, an officer observed a dog running at large near the intersection of Division Street and Second Avenue S.E. The animal’s owner, a 45-year-old Soap Lake man, was issued a municipal infraction.

The following individuals were stopped over the past week and cited for driving with suspended or invalid licenses:  Felipe Gamiz Santos, 19, Soap Lake and Ty Hardin, 66, Soap Lake.  

GRANT COUNTY SHERIFF

 At 5:11 p.m. on Sunday, April 12, deputies were advised that a vehicle was parked in the middle of a travel lane near the intersection of Roads 12-SE and D-SE. The alleged driver, 30-year-old Michael Barajas Cera Barajas of Royal Camp, was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence, driving while license suspended, and violation of a court no-contact/protection order. He was booked into the Grant County Jail.

A welfare check was requested at 11:26 a.m. Sunday, April 12, in the Quincy Lakes area. Deputies were advised that two subjects appeared to be passed out and unresponsive in a silver Toyota car that was stopped in the middle of the road. Marco A. Amado, 24, Quincy, was arrested and booked into jail on an outstanding district court warrant and physical control of a motor vehicle while under the influence of alcohol or drugs.

At 12:03 p.m. on Saturday, April 11, deputies were advised that a wanted person was at a location in the 16000 block of Road 24-SW near Mattawa. Tomas Juan Pascual, 36, Port Orchard was arrested and booked into jail for violation of a court no-contact/protection order and driving with a suspended license.

At 10:51 a.m. on Saturday, April 11, deputies located a wanted subject in the 4200 block of Grape Drive NE. Dennis Michael Spurrier, 56, Moses Lake, was arrested on an outstanding felony warrant and booked into the county jail.

Authorities were notified at 6:19 a.m. on Saturday, April 11, that a female subject was pouring gasoline on the ground at a trailer park in the 17000 block of Road A-NW, north of Ephrata. Nicole Ann Shenefelt, 28, Ephrata, was arrested on suspicion of first-degree criminal trespass and booked into the county jail.

A domestic disturbance was reported at 5:57 p.m. on Friday, April 10, in the 8000 block of Tinker Loop Drive NE near Moses Lake. The complainant said a male acquaintance had been following her and shoved a cell phone in her face during a verbal dispute. Alex Matthew Castro, 38, Moses Lake, was arrested and booked into jail on suspicion of harassment and fourth-degree assault (domestic violence).

A domestic disturbance was reported at 12:25 p.m. on Friday, April 10 in the 12600 block of Road C.3-NW near Ephrata. Deputies were told that a male subject had pulled a female family member out of a vehicle by her hair, then threw a large rock at a male subject who called authorities about the incident. Dion Landry Brown, 38, Ephrata, was arrested and booked into jail on suspicion of fourth-degree assault (domestic violence) and second-degree assault with a deadly weapon. 

A domestic disturbance was reported at 10:07 a.m. on Friday, April 10, in the 1000 block of Vandenberg Loop NE near Moses Lake. The complainant said a male acquaintance punched her and threw objects at her during a dispute the prior evening. Anthony James Murphy, 29, Moses Lake, was arrested and booked into jail on suspicion of second-degree assault.

A domestic disturbance was reported at 2:33 p.m. last Thursday, April 9, in the 300 block of Road 18.8-NE near Soap Lake. The complainant said a female family member tried to slap her during an argument. Anna V. Eddings, 68, Soap Lake, was arrested and booked into jail on suspicion of attempted fourth-degree assault (domestic violence).


The following law enforcement reports were posted Friday, April 10, 2026:

EPHRATA POLICE

At 6:50 p.m. Thursday, April 9, authorities were notified of a brush fire on a hillside near the Ephrata Sports Complex, west of Hilltop Drive S.E. Police said a 16-year-old boy had started a fire which began growing in size. The boy ran home, notified his parents, then took a shovel back to fight the fire, which was mostly extinguished when officers arrived on scene. The boy was treated for smoke inhalation by emergency medical responders. The incident is under investigation.

A possible hit-and-run incident involving property damage was reported at 3:17 p.m. Thursday, April 9, in an alleyway between the 200 blocks of J and K Streets N.E. The complainant said she heard a loud bang, then lost power to her residence, then heard a vehicle driving away northbound in the alley. Officers identified the driver as 20-year-old Masen J. Smith of Ephrata, who was reportedly distracted by a bee when his 2004 Chevrolet pickup collided with an electrical transformer. A Grant County PUD crew responded to repair the transformer and restore power. No citations were issued.

A disturbance was reported at 3:03 p.m. Thursday, April 9, in the 1300 block of Nat Washington Way. Police were told that three male subjects were posting derogatory posters inside the Ephrata Walmart store and making racist comments to random patrons. When confronted about their conduct, the three males fled the premises. One of the males was identified as a 17-year-old teen. If all are identified, store personnel asked that they be trespassed from the property.

At 12:13 a.m. Wednesday, April 8, police were notified of an erratically driven vehicle in the 800 block of North Basin Street. An officer located the vehicle and made a traffic stop after allegedly observing lane travel violations. The driver, 32-year-old Alejandro Vilchis Maldonado of Soap Lake, was arrested and booked into the Grant County Jail on suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs.

An animal cruelty complaint was received at 1:01 p.m. Tuesday, April 7, in the 700 block of J Street S.E. According to the report, a male subject had hit a dog in the head with a metal object, resulting in a deep laceration that exposed the animal’s skull. Police were told the dog was struck because it was fighting with another dog. The incident was under investigation.

A one-vehicle, non-injury wreck was reported at 8:59 p.m. Monday, April 6, on Airport Street S.E. near the intersection of State Route 282. Police said Daniel A. Villa-Jimenez, 19, Ephrata, was driving a 2003 Honda Civic when he reportedly fell asleep, failed to negotiate a curve, and went off the roadway. Villa-Jimenez was cited for driving with a suspended license.

A theft was reported at 3:03 p.m. Monday, April 6, in the 1000 block of Basin Street S.W. The complainant said his bicycle was stolen around 11 a.m. outside the McDonald’s restaurant. The bike was later recovered in the 1200 block of Cottage Street S.E. The incident was under investigation.

At 2:06 a.m. on Sunday, April 5, police were notified that a shed appeared to be on fire in the back yard of a residence in the 200 block of D Street N.W. Upon arrival, officers found a large, unattended blaze in an outdoor fire pit. The fire was extinguished with a garden hose.

Officers assisted Grant County sheriff’s deputies by responding to a theft reported at 8:37 p.m. on Saturday, April 4, at a trailer park in the 17000 block of State Route 28 West. The complainant said all the light bulbs in his RV had been taken by a known acquaintance. A deputy later contacted the alleged suspect but determined there was not enough evidence to suggest a crime had been committed.

While on patrol at 6:54 p.m. on Saturday, April 4, an officer observed a wanted subject in the 1200 block of Cottage Street S.E. Edwin Lopez, 35, Moses Lake, was arrested on outstanding court warrants and booked into the county jail.

SOAP LAKE POLICE

At 10:25 p.m. on Tuesday, April 7, an officer assisted Grant County sheriff’s deputies in responding to a domestic dispute in the 300 block of Road 18.8-NE. Law enforcement contacted a 68-year-old woman who had been arguing with an acquaintance. The two were advised to stay separated for the evening.

A disturbance was reported at 8:53 p.m. Tuesday, April 7, in the 1000 block of South Division Street. Police were told that a male subject described as possibly intoxicated kept returning to the Gas and Go convenience store and attempting to instigate a physical altercation with a clerk. The unidentified man left prior to the arrival of an officer.

A malicious mischief incident was reported at 10:03 a.m. Tuesday, April 7, at the restrooms at Smokiam East Beach Park. Police were told that gang-related graffiti had been painted on a door.

At 7:27 a.m. Tuesday, April 7, police were informed that a female subject appeared to be unconscious inside a vehicle parked in the 100 block of South Daisy Street. After rousing the woman, police determined that 46-year-old Autumn Dawn Garibay of East Wenatchee was wanted on an outstanding felony warrant. She was taken into custody and booked into the Grant County Jail.

Police were contacted at 4:38 a.m. on Saturday, April 4, by a woman who said she was sexually assaulted by known subjects in 2006. The woman said the assault occurred at a party that involved alcohol but she did not know the location address. The woman provided names to police and the incident was under investigation. 

A domestic disturbance was reported at 3:03 p.m. on Wednesday, April 1, in the 100 block of North Fir Street. Police were told that a female subject was upset about getting her child and entered the father’s residence without permission. Brianna Rae Fuller, 22, Ephrata, was arrested and booked into jail on suspicion of first-degree criminal trespass (domestic violence).

The following individuals were cited for driving with suspended licenses or no valid operator’s licenses: Miriam Acevedo Saucedo, 40, Royal City; Enrique Diaz Isordia, 20, Ephrata; Ronaldo Santos Hernandez, 23, Soap Lake; Michael Wenz, 45, Ephrata. 

GRANT COUNTY SHERIFF

A malicious mischief incident was reported at 9:32 a.m. Sunday, April 5, in the 200 block of Carswell Drive NE near Moses Lake. The complainant said a male acquaintance had vandalized a window on her vehicle overnight, causing damage estimated at $100. Sergio Torres Perez, 30, no town listed, was later located and arrested on suspicion of third-degree malicious mischief (domestic violence). He was booked into the Grant County Jail.

A theft was reported at 8:44 a.m. last Friday, April 3, in the 8400 block of Road U-NW, east of Moses Lake. Deputies were told that a trailer containing orchard ladders had been stolen by unknown suspects. The loss was estimated at $4,000. 

At 11:58 a.m. last Thursday, April 2, deputies located a wanted subject near the intersection of Stratford Road and Road 20-NE. Ronald Eugene Henke, 68, Stratford, was arrested on outstanding district court warrants and booked into the county jail. 


The following reports were posted Friday, April 3, 2026:

EPHRATA POLICE

A theft was reported at 3:03 p.m. Thursday, April 2, in the 1100 block of Basin Street S.W. Police were told that a man and woman were seen leaving the Ephrata Safeway store with a cart of unpaid merchandise. The two suspects were identified and officers located the man around 8 p.m. in the 100 block of E Street N.E. Marc Bryan Sass, 39, Ephrata, was arrested without incident on suspicion of third-degree theft and violation of a court no-contact/protection order due to his assocation with the female suspect. Sass was booked into the Grant County Jail.

A two-vehicle, non-injury collision was reported at 5:32 p.m. Thursday, April 2 in the 1100 block of Basin Street S.W. Police said a 16-year-old Ephrata girl driving a 2018 Toyota Corolla struck a parked 2007 Ford Focus, then left the scene. An officer located the girl, who admitted to the incident but said she didn’t know whether damage to the Ford was new or old. The girl said she waited at the scene for a few minutes, then departed. The complainant was not sure whether she wanted to seek charges against the teen.

A theft was reported at 2:15 p.m. Tuesday, March 31, in the 1300 block of Nat Washington Way. Police were told that a man and woman had pushed out a cart full of merchandise without paying at the Ephrata Walmart store. The suspects were not immediately identified but a photo of their vehicle was obtained. The incident was under investigation.

A theft was reported at 8:10 a.m. Tuesday, March 31, in the 200 block of Nat Washington Way. Authorities said a 49-year-old Ephrata man who frequently visits the cafeteria at Columbia Basin Hospital had stolen food and became verbally aggressive with staff members. Police were asked to pursue theft charges against the man and he was trespassed from the hospital grounds for one year.

While on patrol at 1:25 a.m. Tuesday, March 31, an officer was flagged down in the 700 block of Basin Street N.W. by a male subject who requested a battery jump-start for his vehicle. The officer suspected the 18-year-old Soap Lake man was under the influence of alcohol or drugs and requested assistance from the Washington State Patrol. A trooper conducted field-sobriety tests and later transported the man to Columbia Basin Hospital for a blood draw.

A burglary was reported at 6:25 p.m. Monday, March 30, in the 200 block of A Street N.E. Police were told that two storage units had been broken into, but it did not appear that anything was taken. The property owner repaired locks on the two units.

A burglary was reported at 3:03 p.m. Sunday, March 29, in the 200 block of Basin Street S.W. The complainant said unknown suspects unplugged a security camera and entered the building through a wall opening which previously contained an air conditioner unit. There was an unsuccessful attempt to open a cash register, but two $20 bills in a display were stolen.

A disturbance was reported at 2:32 p.m. on Friday, March 27, in the first block of Basin Street S.W. Police were told that a female subject was throwing objects and behaving in an erratic manner. An officer contacted the woman, who denied the claim and said it was another person. It was determined that the woman, identified as 28-year-old Nicole Ann Shenefelt of Ephrata, was wanted on an outstanding court warrant. She was taken into custody and booked into the county jail.

A 1:21 p.m. on Friday, March 27, an officer observed a wanted subject on Pioneer Avenue S.E. When approached, the male suspect fled on foot but was located hiding in some bushes on nearby Lee Street. James Hawkeye Taylor, 26, Ephrata, was arrested and booked into jail on an outstanding district court warrant and suspicion of obstructing a law enforcement officer.

A theft in progress was reported at 2:34 p.m. Tuesday, March 31 in the 1000 block of North Stratford Road at Moses Lake. Authorities were told that a male subject shoplifted merchandise from Walmart and fled in a vehicle which was later located by a deputy. Leonard Lee Knigge, 61, Moses Lake, was arrested on suspicion of third-degree theft and second-degreee burglary after previously being banned from the store. Knigge was booked into the Grant County Jail and the stolen items were returned to Walmart.

A disturbance was reported at 11:27 a.m. Tuesday, March 31, in the 7000 block of Road O-NW near Quincy. A young child telephoned authorities and said her sister and an aunt were fighting. Fatima Cabrera Vargas, 18, Quincy, was arrested on suspicion of fourth-degree assault (domestic violence) and booked into the county jail.

A disturbance was reported at 11:50 p.m. Monday, March 30 in the 1900 block of Road A.5-NE. Authorities were told that a female subject arrived in a car and began yelling about someone getting pregnant. The woman was allegedly at the same location an hour earlier and hit a male family member during an argument. Lucia Rodriguez, 25, Ephrata, was arrested and booked into jail on suspicion of fourth-degree assault (domestic violence) and criminal trespass. Ephrata police and the Washington State Patrol also assisted with the incident.

A one-vehicle, non-inury wreck was reported at 8:16 p.m. Monday, March 30, in the 23600 block of Boulder Lane SW in Mattawa. The complainant said a motorist crashed into a tree and fence on his property. Carlos Diaz Salgado, 44, Mattawa, was detained and booked into jail on suspicion of driving under the influence.

At 2:36 p.m. Monday, March 30, authorities were notified that a male subject appeared to be hitting a female passenger while driving in a blue Audi vehicle south of Moses Lake. A deputy located the car on Road M-SE and took the driver into custody. Marco Chavez Diaz, 40, Moses Lake, was booked into jail on suspicion of fourth-degree assault (domestic violence), unlawful imprisonment (domestic violence), and possession of methamphetamine.

A disturbance was reported at 7:35 p.m. Sunday, March 29, in the 100 block of Bing Avenue in George. Authorities were told that a male subject in a parking lot was chasing a female who was yelling “Get away from me.” Deputies responded and arrested Marc Bryan Sass, 39, Ephrata, on suspicion of fourth-degree assault (domestic violence), driving with a suspended license, and motor vehicle alcohol-ignition interlock violation. The woman, identified as 35-year-old Alyx Kylee Rodriguez of George, was arrested for violation of a court no-contact/protection for being with Sass. Both were booked into the county jail.

At 7:32 p.m. Saturday, March 28, a deputy located a wanted subject at an unspecified location. Michael Nathaniel Fale, 32, Ephrata, was arrested and booked into jail on five outstanding district court warrants.

A domestic disturbance was reported at 3:13 p.m. Saturday, March 28, in the 2300 block of Road 13-SE. The complainant said her husband had threatened and physically accosted her. Luis Alcala Ramirez, 23, Othello, was arrested and booked into jail on suspicion of fourth-degree assault (domestic violence).

A domestic disturbance was reported at 3:58 p.m. on Friday, March 27, in the 9400 block of Maple Drive NE near Moses Lake. The complainant said her son’s former girlfriend had tried to run them over with her car. Emalea Grace Berko, 19, Moses Lake, was arrested and booked into jail on suspicion of two counts of second-degree assault (domestic violence). 

A theft was reported at 10:28 a.m. on Friday, March 27, in the 13000 block of North Frontage Road East near Moses Lake. Authorities were told that 1000-gallon poly tanks valued at $10,000 had been stolen from M1 Tanks Inc. sometime around Feb. 11.
