MOSES LAKE — The Grant County WAHSET team wrapped its regular season April 17–19 at the Grant County Fairgrounds in Moses Lake, with five riders punching tickets to next week's state meet, which will also be hosted at the local fairgrounds.

Ephrata senior Roper Dillman won Keyhole and Birangle and placed third in both Steer Daubing and Canadian Flags at the final meet. For the season, Dillman claimed gold in Steer Daubing, silver in Keyhole and a spot on the gold-medal Canadian Flags team alongside senior EHS classmate Brooke Hurley, homeschooled junior Arabella Howe and Moses Lake Christian Academy junior Jamie Fisher.

The foursome went first, second and third across the three meets to qualify for state as a team.

Hurley placed second in Individual Flags at the final meet, earning a season bronze. Freshmen Bergen Lauver and Isabella Dahl also competed, with Lauver 17th in Stock Seat Equitation and 18th in Showmanship, and Dahl 18th in Keyhole and 20th in Pole Bending.

Howe was the team's most decorated state qualifier, earning berths in seven events — Barrels (gold), Steer Daubing (silver), Breakaway Roping (silver), Reining (bronze), Hunt Seat Equitation Over Fences (bronze), Figure 8 (bronze) and Canadian Flags team (gold). She also won Birangle and swept Pole Bending, Figure 8 and Barrels.

Fisher qualified in Individual Flags (gold), Keyhole (gold), Barrels (silver) and Canadian Flags team (gold), winning Individual Flags and placing second in Figure 8 at Meet 3. Rounding out the state qualifiers, Moses Lake junior Emree Andre won Driving and placing second in Saddle Seat Equitation at the final meet.

Also competing, Warden junior Hayleigh Shipley placed seventh in Individual Flags and sixth in Barrels. Homeschooled junior Kiley Jensen and Moses Lake junior Amber Terrell teamed for sixth in Team Cattle Sorting.

The county fairgrounds in Moses Lake will host the state meet May 14–17.
